I have been working at Iceland Foods part-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good pay and generally nice environment to work

    Cons

can be hard to progress as some duty managers and supervisors have been in the same position in the same store for 20+ years etc so no need for new ones

    Advice to Management

rotate weekends and later shifts for duty managers so one member is not doing them all

I have been working at Iceland Foods part-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

They can be flexible and managers are generally easy to talk to.

    Cons

Lots of pressure on store managers, which can filter down in the form of scare tactics to sales assistants/ duty managers, not something you want out of an (almost) MINIMUM WAGE job. Often fail to deliver on promises and expect high standards (but dont provide the nessasary resources to achieve those standards verses other retailers).

    Advice to Management

Collegues from head office very rarely get their hands dirty.

I worked at Iceland Foods part-time

    Pros

There are cold areas, like I expected to find North of Reykjavik.

    Cons

I ended up working in West Belfast instead of Reykjavic. I applied for a Visa from Kabul, and was hoping to be sent to a more peaceful environment. My English not so good, so though I was in a not-English speaking country for the first 18 months.

    Advice to Management

Please send me home. I miss my family and can no longer live on tiny microwaveable frozen pizzas and Mr Brain's Frozen Faggots (In my homeland the use of such a phrase to describe food would result in execution).
