    Manager was too rude and not understanding at all.

    Train your store managers to practice what they preach on person specification ( be friendly, understanding, and positive).

    I have been working at Iceland Foods part-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Some friendly customers but they are treat badly by queing and noone answering calls for help

    Cons

    If your face doesnt fit you will be forced out

    Advice to Management

    Respect your hard working employees and stop with the constructive dismissal efforts. Dont cut hours to bare minimum then employ under 18s because they're cheaper. Reward loyalty and you'll get it back in abundance

    Low hours, sometimes time pressured, a lot of forcing to stay on late.

    Pros

    You will get some retail experience.

    Cons

    Too much politic in management and frontline staff. Too much pressure from management. You can not balance your social life if you work here.

    Advice to Management

    Recruitment process has to be controlled. Not employ only managers’ friends and family! Treat your staff fairly regardless of their position.

    Good progression. Paid holiday Discount on shopping Xmas vouchers

    Cons

    Expected to work through breaks and stay until job completed at the end of shift (and not get paid for it) - even after unexpected things which could delay the time you actually finish. Expected to act as duty manager at all times, even though they wont pay you the allowance for doing so Last minute shift changes No work-life balance Staff efforts not recognized by company.     Advice to Management

    Set realistic expectations for hours given to stores. Pay staff for hours they actually work Introduce some kinda of clock in and out system. Better and fairer bonus system for all staff. Not just given to managers (as in fairness, the front line staff are the ones doing the grafting)
