    Pros

Great design team and wonderful people to work with. Learned a lot about design process and factories they used.

    Cons

There is no room to really move up or get a job.

    Advice to Management

    None.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Iconix Brand Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Willing to train new employees. Greeted with patience and experienced a learning environment. Exposed to new and exciting opportunities involving leadership.

    Cons

Completely unorganized company from the top down; too many middle-managers and underlings and not enough direction given from executive suite. Bosses consistently "played favorites."

    Advice to Management

Build teams. Foster talent and promote from within. Use the in-house talent to bring brands to life. Try to build loyalty instead of creating culture of turnover.

I worked at Iconix Brand Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Health Insurance. Also near Bryant Park which is the only other pro I can think of. There used to be good talented people but they're all gone now.

    Cons

You get zero appreciation. Upper management treats employees with zero respect and appreciation. People get yelled and get treated like imbeciles. Many employees have left the company for this reason. Also the lack of leadership on these people is quite shocking. Stay away from working in this toxic and diminishing environment. Do not join Iconix!

    Advice to Management

Quit your job and enroll on leadership class. Re learn everything you thought you knew.

I worked at Iconix Brand Group full-time

    Pros

There used to be some really great people working there, and interesting projects

    Cons

Currently in transition, constant mixed signals coming from management, unorganized, frustrating environment. Their brands require a lot of work in order to succeed and there are not enough people to do it.

    Advice to Management

Utilize the people who have a history with the company and the brands, instead of hiring outside consultants. It is leading to undermining longtime employees and also jeopardizing the brand messaging by involving people who don't truly understand the brand essence.

I worked at Iconix Brand Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some great people still left here but not for long it seems.
Heritage of company name still has street credit, for now.
Not a bad location so commuting is easy from most anywhere.
Great salary and benefits if you are at senior level.

    Cons

New leadership seems to not care about employees only profit.
Talent is leaving and not being replaced.
Business model is not evolving to current market trends
True leadership is lacking - Especially at the top (think CEO).
Chances of getting promoted are slim.
Salary, if you are below say a VP, is not all that competitive.
Too few people working on too much.
Talent (talented people) are not fostered. The company seems not to care about growing their employees.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees below your executives. There is a lot of growth that could happen that could make Iconix a great place to be again.

I have been working at Iconix Brand Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Work with great people.
It's like an agency since there are so many brands, but we own the brands so there isn't the pressure of "pleasing" a client.
    Variety.

    Cons

Changing business model makes it hard to have structure.
    Everything is last minute.
Too few people working on too many brands.
