I have been working at Iconix Brand Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Work with great people.
It's like an agency since there are so many brands, but we own the brands so there isn't the pressure of "pleasing" a client.
    Variety.

    Cons

Changing business model makes it hard to have structure.
    Everything is last minute.
Too few people working on too many brands.

I worked at Iconix Brand Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some great people still left here but not for long it seems.
Heritage of company name still has street credit, for now.
Not a bad location so commuting is easy from most anywhere.
Great salary and benefits if you are at senior level.

    Cons

New leadership seems to not care about employees only profit.
Talent is leaving and not being replaced.
Business model is not evolving to current market trends
True leadership is lacking - Especially at the top (think CEO).
Chances of getting promoted are slim.
Salary, if you are below say a VP, is not all that competitive.
Too few people working on too much.
Talent (talented people) are not fostered. The company seems not to care about growing their employees.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees below your executives. There is a lot of growth that could happen that could make Iconix a great place to be again.

    Pros

Could work remotely on iconic American brands

    Cons

Non-specifically but since new management / board takeover...
    complete abortion

    Advice to Management

Current management has destroyed decades of equity by jettisoning the CEO, CMO, and their respective staffs. Probably too late to restore to it's glory years and will now, most likely sell off individual brands as they need to in order to perform for Wall St. expectations.
