    I worked at Ignited full-time

    Pros

The teams are small, but close. The work is challenging, but rewarding. You get a lot of experience outside of the department you're technically assigned to, which means you're developing far more comprehensive experience for agency work, as well as helping solve business challenges. You are valued as a person and not simply as a cog in agency conglomerate machines.

    Cons

Work sometimes has to be highly rushed. But so much of this is a result of outside factors like client organization, etc.

    Advice to Management

Continue on with the inclusive, collaborative culture that has been built over the last year that respects to people who are putting in the time. It was a privilege to have been at Ignited.

    Pros

It was a great place to work till 2010. Great colleagues. Respectful, friendly atmosphere. Fun times weren't forced. Plenty of talent. Didn't take itself too seriously.

    Cons

Upper management always driven by fear. In the last few years I worked there, creative leadership was weak, desperate. and ageist (welcome to advertising). I hear things are improving.

    Advice to Management

Stay focused. Treat employees like responsible adults.Don't lead with fear.

I have been working at Ignited full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Company rewards people who work hard and are self-starters. Lots of fun perks. New collaborative space is awesome. Decent work/life balance, especially compared to larger agencies. Leadership is grounded and knows what they're doing. Opportunity to work across a lot of interesting clients and verticals is a huge plus. Unlimited PTO. Healthy client list that keeps growing.

    Cons

In spite of the great culture, lack of dedicated resources for recruiting makes it difficult for the agency to attract top talent.

    Advice to Management

Don't settle for hiring mediocre people. Invest more in recruiting.

I worked at Ignited (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Really nice people in a good culture that tries hard to keep everybody feeling good. Lots of communication in regular meetings, especially by company president and the COO.

    Cons

Struggles with the constant churn of clients and new business. Tends to hire cheaply which leads to a mediocre product and therefore makes it difficult to fulfill its true potential as an agency.

    Advice to Management

Spend as much as you can afford hiring the best people and don't compromise on talent just because they are nice people. When you have them, nurture them and give them the freedom to do what they do best.
