I have been working at Illinois State full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The environment is not all bad. Meet some good people and you learn somethings that you would never learn in a classroom. They are starting to get to point where they are listening to the employees.

    Cons

Need to improve overall communication across the campus. Everyone needs to be on the same page at all times. Learn to plan accordingly , and not to overload projects. Need to make sure that projects are completed and would be feasible to the entire community and not pleasing to the people completing the project.

    Advice to Management

Get everyone involved to keep everyone happy

    Pros

Nothing but positive things to say! ISU is a great place to work! State pension plan.

    Cons

You're working for the State of Illinois. So, you're subject to what's going on in Springfield to some extent.

I have been working at Illinois State part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The full time employees were always so kind to me and helpful whenever I had questions. I really grew as a person at Milner Library.

    Cons

Honestly, only real con I can think of is that the pay is minimum wage. However it's a student position so that was not surprising.
