I have been working at Imperial College London full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

High standard of teaching with good computing facilities, and many international students. Very good career opportunities after graduation.

    Cons

High level of education means a very high work load, leading to less time for social activities. Doesn't feel like as much of a uni/campus as other unis.

    Pros

Kind colleagues always ready to help. Full support from team, group, department, faculty and college. Multi-disciplinary project opportunities.

    Cons

Fierce competition that lack of promotion if not good enough.

    Advice to Management

Internal control for those faculty staff who focus only on exploiting PhD and postdoc is essential.

I worked at Imperial College London part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

A lot of good and helpful colleagues, very friendly research environment. Quite close to different museums and Royal Albert Hall. The supervisors and administrators are very nice.

    Cons

It is quite far away from my accommodation. The location of this university is too nice which makes the rent of the house close to the university is very expensive.

    Advice to Management

Hope they can provide more cheap accommodations to their staffs and students around the university, especially for those oversea students.
