I have been working at Imperial Distributors part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

A lot of freedom and flexibility, as long as you are responsible. I can't speak for full-time positions of the same title, and having a different supervisor or working with a different client may change your experience.

    Cons

I didn't experience any notable cons, being part-time.

I have been working at Imperial Distributors part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    No micromanagement whatsoever.

    Great Pay.

Great if you like to travel around.

Great for people who like retail jobs but don't like the customer service aspect.

You are basically left on your own to complete jobs once your training has been cleared.

    Cons

Unpleasant co workers, for the most part, many of the people working with Imperial tend to be pretty miserable.

Management can be careless at times.

Management expects a whole lot of work to be done in a very little amount of time.

    Advice to Management

Accept the fact that sometimes the workload you give your employees can be a bit much when you expect it to get done so quickly. Not everything takes a short time to complete!

I worked at Imperial Distributors full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fellow employees (not management) are nice. You don't see many employees because your out on your route but the few that you do see are nice

    Cons

Pay is atrocious. No raises. Zero growth opportunities. They have the ability to switch your schedule around with hardly any notice. Management takes the job with the utmost seriousness, like were curing cancer, when all we are doing is stocking shelves! Completely demeaning job. Stay far away unless of course your looking to have a career that goes absolutely NOWHERE!

    Advice to Management

Get a clue on what it is were doing and what it is were getting paid before ordering people to do demeaning tasks like dust shelves.

    Pros

Make own hours, Mon to Fri typically, some Saturdays if needed.. easy to use equipment and reimbursement for mileage, tolls, parking, etc

    Cons

Almost no training.. I was hired to be a supervisor of a sales team and never trained on how to do the job!! They let me go after 3 weeks.. complete waste of my time! Don't hire someone if you're not going to train them.. DUH!

    Advice to Management

Don't hire someone if you're not going to train them! So disrespectful and unprofessional.
