    Pros

Worked shift work 14-14, so able to maintain high quality of life at home with family.

    Cons

Management direction was consistently absent until something went wrong then very quick. To point fingers and place blame. Usually on someone the had nothing to do with the problem, however they were on hand and usually trying to fix the problem so we easy to blame.

Solid company but industry subject to swings

    Pros

Excellent benefits, company considered employer of choice in the town where I worked

    Cons

It's the oil biz. Up today, down tomorrow. Way down today, maybe up tomorrow. Got tired of the swings and moved to a less volatile industry.

    Pros

    The benefits are very good

    Cons

Latest senior management don’t seem to care about giving retired employees a periodic pension increase. It has been over 15 years since our last increase, yet they continue to make billions!

    Terrible work culture

    Oct 16, 2022 - Engineer
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Interesting work; descent pay and benefits; great training opportunities available depending on your job role

    Cons

Terrible work culture is driven by a relative ranking performance assessment system. People are so miserable. With recent company changes, really no technical career path. A lot of entry-level engineering jobs are glorified admin work. As you move up the company, it's stewardship. Good technical engineering skills are not valued. Extremely disappointed at where the company is headed and how fake the hype the management is trying to create is. All the smart and genuine people are effectively leaving the company or looking to leave. Good luck! I don't recommend this company to anyone (especially young folks).
