    Pros

This is a HOT market. What we do is relevant in todays current events around the globe and being at the center of it is exciting, educational and intellectually challenging. You really can write your own path through Imperva. Want to expand your role? just work towards it! Want to put in your time and then try out something on the other side of company?.. Prove your worth and you will be supported. Lots of opportunity here.

    Cons

There is always a "next thing". If you are waiting for your current challenge to be over so you can rest on your laurels for a while, this is not the job for you. Once you get up on this technology treadmill, you better be ready to hit "10" and keep running until you drop ;-) But that is what I like. It is what keeps me coming to work everyday!

    Advice to Management

Over communicate and keep providing great opportunities for your employees. Its a great team with lots of spirit and drive. Keep recognizing them and they will keep working hard to make this company drive forward in top gear..

    Pros

    Industry Leader in their space.

    Cons

Imperva is VERY cut throat and regularly terminates top performers for mysterious reasons. Imperva is also, very, very difficult to do business with from a customer's perspective. Succeeding in this very competitive space is tough enough without constantly having to replace departing team personnel and then playing catch-up to make the ground lost by the rediculous termination of top performing employees. It's always "one step forward and two steps back" and has been this way since 2003 / 2004.

    Advice to Management

Allow your team members sufficient time to complete their projects and quit changing personnel every 3-6 months.

    I worked at Imperva full-time

    Pros

They have some great hardworking people that are experts in their field.

    Cons

The management is lost with no direction. They hired managers with lots of experience who still manage the way they did 20 years ago. In this culture it is ok for managers to disappear for months and come back to only harass and demean everyone around them while being no actual value to the sales cycle.

    Advice to Management

Its hard to give advice when the management is the problem. Poor managers only deflect the problems they create on the people below them.

    Pros

Good place for younger men and women to be used and abused........................

    Cons

Their product line is a junk with full of bugs, obnoxious staff, lack of communications, directions, no respect and list goes on and on...........

    Advice to Management

Get a life! learn how to manage people, respect people, work with them, trust them, but then again if you had these values you won't be working for Imperva!

    Pros

Not sure there are any except that it's a job at a company. If you need a job and have no other prospects...then ok, work here. I used to believe in the product but we've been having hard times with product sales so maybe a positive is that we'll likely get bought in the future. Who knows.

    Cons

There are so many cons.... Look elsewhere. Fear-based culture. High turnover. Nasty, micromanaging VPs. CEO is mostly in Israel and this ship is run by VPs that manage by undermining. Makes for a dysfunctional environment.

    Advice to Management

What goes around comes around. People have long memories in the Valley and you never know when today's direct report will move on to become someone that will return the favor.

I have been working at Imperva full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

None! Paycheck perhaps. Don't believe the four star reviews. All done by internal staff and sales people trying to portray the place as some thing that is not! unless you are desperate for a paycheck stay away from this place.

    Cons

Too many: poor and incompetent management, high turn over, vital staff located overseas, outdated and old technology. How they get away selling this outdated software full of bugs and problems is beyond me! Can't wait to get out myself.

    Pros

    could not think of one!

    Cons

With a major shareholder civil law suite against the company (Don't believe me, google imperva law suite), CEO out, stocks down , major talents jumping the ship, the company is at down fall and will be sold soon.
whether company will survive or not , now is not a good time for any body to join the sinking ship.

    I worked at Imperva full-time

    Pros

Good products but when put to the test performance & scalability become issues. Numerous accounts have performance and upgrade issues. Support is good but as with any company it relies too much on email.

    Cons

Slave to the machine. Middle management believes company first regardless of hour and/or day. Being an Israel company you are dealing with R&D and others that are 10 hours ahead of you so you're often taxed with early morning calls and late evenings. The work environment also dictates an on-call mentality regardless of the issue at hand.

Shlomo has brought in a new CEO to replace him and you can see the writing on the wall. The new CEO is bringing in his own team and the long tenured senior mgmt folks are either being shown the door or are looking for the exit signs.

    Advice to Management

Yes, rip out the middle layer.

    Pros

    Salary is average with industry.

    Cons

Company has problems with sales and engineers. Can't keep them. Change at the CEO/Sr. Management level may help, but causes more confusion about the company, which may not be good. Popular rumor is the company is being setup to be sold.

    Cons

Management has zero respect for sales people and they are completely disingenuous. Most of the products are completely irrelevant.
