    Pros

Solid product that beats competition in head-to-head battles consistently. Good compensation that is starting to slide upwards as you stay at the organization. Good stable of experienced and smart co-workers that you can rely on for help when needed.

    Cons

Executive leadership change has started to trickle down through the ranks. Many of the sales and field engineering teams have lost valuable members to other organizations and have been replaced with people from much larger organizations that have never sold in the space before. As such the culture is starting to change from a nimble, small company feel towards larger organization buried in process and culture of big companies like IBM, CA, and HP.

    Advice to Management

Compensate teams appropriately. Stop the nepotism that is starting to run rampant in the field sales organizations. Just because you've worked with someone in the past, doesn't mean that they are qualified to in this space!

I worked at Imperva full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Imperva definitely has some talented technical staff that are great to work with. The current stock price makes equity grants a really nice plus.

    Cons

Frequent management changes. Poor communication internally. No real option for advancement as new management brings in their peers. A lot of tribal knowledge leaves regularly with staffing churn.

    Advice to Management

Value your internal staff. Don't always look to hire from the outside. Make a concerted effort to consider internal talent for advancement or new opportunities.

I worked at Imperva full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

As there is some reorganization going there are certain procedures that will be improved as the process unfolds. A dynamic and hot cyber security company that has a bright future, great opportunity. Co-workers are fantastic, and Imperva is like three companies in one.

    Cons

Redwood Shores can be a commute for most, but easy to get remote work done.

    Advice to Management

Communication is either great, or then can be non-existent at times. This is attributed mainly to the dynamic state of growth and change.

I have been working at Imperva full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Was a tight family type place..we all would hang out. Past year so much change and no focus on workers

    Cons

no one cares..exec's all hire family and own friends. Of course everyone gives great reviews...they all are new! CEO came in cleaned house..totally changed the vibe.

    Advice to Management

really hear your employees. Growing is great but not at the cost of the people who worked hard to get you there. Just sell the company...we all know that is the goal for 2yrs now.

    Pros

Great people and direct management is great. They do have a few perks that are pretty cool like catered lunch every Wednesday, conference talks with CEO once a month, and guest speakers once a quarter.

    Cons

There has been a big change in management and lots of changes, resulting in a large amount of people leaving the company but there is a lot of growth and new ppl joining the company daily. Not sure where the company is going in the terms of being bought out or buying out other companies to grow.

    Pros

Excellent products in a market ripe for the picking. Good benefits and work environment with many perks. Consistent feedback throughout the interview process to know how things were progressing.

    Cons

None at this time. I guess that there are not many places to have lunch within walking distance from the office?

    Advice to Management

Continue providing clear direction to your employees on expectations and goals. Continue to develop products that are relevant to today's market.
