I worked at Impinj full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Great location - Employees are awesome, trying hard to do the right thing - Free snacks

    Cons

    - Executives like to expound on their hobbies that prove they are out of touch with employees - mountain climbing, yachting, etc. during all-hand meetings - Management are all 'yes' men. And actually are all men as there are no women execs. The only folks who rise at the company are those that say 'yes' to everything and do not argue or have new ideas. Those folks are squashed, fired, or demoted. - No rules regarding...

I have been working at Impinj full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-state-of-the-art building -free snacks and drinks -smart and nice people

    Cons

    - No 401K match - Little to no performance review. Underachievers seem to be given a free pass as long as they’re part of the ‘in’ crowd or suck up to management - Very little directive in sticking to and hitting project milestones - but because of the lack of performance feedback, there’s not much incentive for employees to stay those extra hours when needed and hit those milestones - Project management is disorganized,...

    Advice to Management

    - Implement performance reviews more often, so employees get feedback, so people who are underperforming can up their performance and the best employees get rewarded and incentivized to keep working hard - The focus should be on getting things done and getting products out the door, and not letting process overhead get in the way - Need to stick to deadlines

    "Very toxic place to work!"

I have been working at Impinj full-time

    Pros

They have free snacks. Unlimited vacation although it is not really unlimited.

    Cons

Terrible place to work. Very toxic environment. They are to bogged down with process to actually get things out the door. Some not all Directors are very poor, they do not know how to manage people or get projects done. They have been hiring people that are not qualified as Sr. Executives. Have seen mass exodus of executives which should be a big clue to anyone coming in. Company is ripe for a take over.

    Advice to Management

Need to bring in Sr. Executives that have worked in bigger companies. Need a business CEO that knows what they are doing to take the company forward.

    I worked at Impinj

    Pros

Bright modern offices in a good location, free snacks/coffee, flexible work hours, and unlimited leave for FTE staff.

    Cons

This company currently has far more male employees than women, and does not deal harassment in an effective manner or one which is likely to stop it happening again. I had a male employee make an inappropriate comment directed at me, which I reported to HR. While HR acknowledged the comment was inappropriate, I was told, and this is a direct quote from an email "You must understand that the intent was good", I was...

I have been working at Impinj

There are no egos and there is a huge sense of community - Countless opportunities for development and growth - Managers truly care about you as a person as well as your performance as an employee - Unlimited Paid Time Off- most people don't take advantage of this because work is such a great place to be - Free...

    Cons

It is growing at a rapid rate and work-life balance is typically the first to go.

    Advice to Management

Focus on culture in this time of growth- continue to cultivate that and your employees will be your biggest advocates, cheerleaders, and recruiters.
