I worked at Imtech full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Theres always work. Every day is different. Good holidays. Good Apprenticeships training. Good money if you put the hours in. Prestigious jobs. Overall a big company but best to move on after a few years of experience as a newly qualified electrician as there is uch more to learn and see in the big industry.

    Cons

Standard JIB rate, though I got London weighting rate and it isn't the best if you're living in london and have high expenses. A lot of double standards by the management. You're just a number to the firm sometimes and in large projects you don't get any special treatment for being directly employed. Ideally better to be a subcontractor that is working for this firm. Not much more to be said.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees equally and really take on board their ideas and not just make notes in front of them showing you care about their concerns. Really just treat the direct lads better and set realistic time for job completion.

    Cons

lack of resources allocated on projects. A lot of work to pick up outside of area of expertise Central management make all decisions on projects.

    Advice to Management

Give autonomy to your staff and trust them Don’t allow financial gains to out weight technical concerns More focus on engineering support at early stages of projects.

Salary okay, staff okay. Most office locations are quite well appointed overall. I have nothing further to say

I worked at Imtech full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Nice location just outside Ipswich town centre. Good pay. Really can not say anything else good this company has been dieing on its back for the last few years.

    Cons

Bad communication between staff and management. Manager has "Favorites" resulting in biased and unfair treatment of staff. Terribly unproffessional office with horrendous staff turnover.

    Advice to Management

Treat your staff better and they may actually stay.
