I have been working at In-Q-Tel as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Small, diverse, and incredibly driven teams will give you plenty of opportunity for growth. Interns are given responsibilities that actually impact the company and can help drive important decisions.

    Cons

There is a high level of security that you need to maintain. Not really unreasonable, and to be expected.

    Advice to Management

Nothing much, it was a great pleasure to intern at IQT, thanks so much for the opportunity, and I look forward to hearing more about IQT in the future!

I have been working at In-Q-Tel full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Interesting mix of tech, VC, and intelligence. Perfect networking opportunity, as a stepping stone to your next job.

    Cons

Executive leadership is totally disconnected with the worker bees. The culture isn't for everyone. You gotta be a self-starter, i.e. you won't be recognized for just doing your job well.

    Advice to Management

Be more transparent. The rumor mill is strong so we'll all find out anyway. You need to control the narrative!
