Long time employee. WAS a small, driven, tight knit company. Fantastic health benefits, salary ranges in line with industry and LOB's, USED to have amazing stock incentives.
Complete change due to growth and culture change (unwarranted IMHO) and ETL turnover to new regime. Old CIO inspired and helped his team to aspire to do great things. New leadership skittish, indecisive and arrogant lending to silos, bureaucracy, and excessive expenditures for little ROI
Advice to Management
It's OK to be a small, agile adept company. Embrace it. Consulting hours and offshoring for a sub 1K user community company is ludicrous.
Incyte has great people. Everyone is friendly, intelligent and looks out for each other. Tremendous learning opportunity early in your career. Recently moved into new buildings.
Difficult to move up in your career. The food in the previous cafe wasn't very good. Also, located in Delaware so many people commute from far away.

Compensation and benefits are top notch and the company is growing fast with a tremendous pipeline of potential products.
Growth means culture shift and the expansion means the organization is hiring in above tenured employees. The new big pharma attitude is the antithesis of the company's founding as a drug discovery company and the superior attitude of the newcomers grates.
I worked in the product development division of Incyte when they were selling genomic databases. Everyone had a good time, customers were paying $M for data, not the low quality software that went with it, but hey everyone got to bask in the glory.
Product development was run by a bunch of people who had never done it before, and the majority of the engineers were contractors.
