I have been working at Independent Bank (MI) full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very fun staff at the branches to work with.
    Well paid

    Cons

Managers are not in the office as much as they should be
Upper management does not seem to know what it's like to work at the branch level.

    Advice to Management

Add more staff to front line. Have mangers more available to staff for help and questions.

I worked at Independent Bank (MI) full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great benefit package, family plans, dental, vision, etc. Decent salary, and good vacation allowance. The company has good values which is another thing I always admired.

    Cons

Did little to help share the work load when management would discontinue certain positions, and expected everyone else to pick up the slack. Management would have favorites and not evaluate all employees fairly. Definitely needs more staff than what they currently have.

    Advice to Management

Upper management has absolutely zero respect for employees. Get rid of management who do nothing but sit in their offices and take credit for the rest of the branch's handwork.

I worked at Independent Bank (MI) full-time

    Pros

    The company has good values.

    Cons

Lazy management. Always short staffed. Too much turnover. Part time pay was considerably less that full time even though it was the same position. Promotions are given based off who is favorite and not who is qualified. Very negative and drama filled atmosphere.

    Advice to Management

Come out of your office and help the teller line
