    underpaid, status decline, lack of job satisfaction

    Advice to Management

    The HR policies need a review. higher management needs to be in touch with lower levels. Nepotism needs to be curbed.

    Rather than considering reservation in jobs after retirement, better to resettle them in same salary range in similar job in Govt department.

    I worked at Indian Army (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    A very challenging environment and a very encouraging workplace. The job entrusts each one with tremendous responsibility with authority to take decisions as deemed necessary. Very challenging to manage a talented and motivated workforce 24/7. Very good salary with perks and facilities.

    Cons

    No set work timings and sometimes the work pressure and deadlines are extremely challenging. One has to keep moving from place to place every 2 to 3 years along with family

    Advice to Management

    Must give a little more time for personal needs and must keep weekends off to rest and recoup.

    People don't like to join but they don't know how it feels to be the real hero.
    and its really good cause everybody can't be the hero, it takes someone special to be a HERO.

    Separation from family at times. Exposure to hostile enemy action

    Welfare of troops to be kept in mind, in addition to job constraints.

    The nation wants to know WHY? Govt of India needs to introspect on the injustice meted out to the Armed Forces....
