    It has Awesome benefits and salary.

    Pros

    Being a Public Sector, working at Indian Oil goes in smooth manner. The working cultrue varies from refinery to refinery.

    Cons

    Some of the refinery locations are remote. But basic facilities are available in the townships

    I have been working at Indian Oil full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

    A great learning organisation with lots of time in hand to pursue hobbies or other interests. That may include studying and gaining experience before jumping to other progressive careers.

    Cons

    A badly designed and executed career progression policy and appraisal system. Mostly frustrating performing professionals. Quite strong politics in office.

    Advice to Management

    Transparent career progression for young individuals should be implemented. Involvement of young managers in decision making as weel as dissemination of strategy and vision down the line.
