I have been working at Indigo (MA) full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I haven't been bored since I started. There is always something to work on, and the impact you have is immediate. Plus, the people here are incredibly accomplished and smart, and also very friendly and collaborative. The overall energy at Indigo is amazing. I also think the company, all the way to the top, truly embodies our core values, especially doing the right thing and being transparent.

    Cons

We move really fast, and priorities can shift quickly. That sort of environment isn't for everyone, but if it's for you, Indigo is the right place to be.

    Advice to Management

Keep innovating, keep pushing us to achieve huge goals.

I have been working at Indigo (MA) full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very forward thinking people with a goal in mind and the mean and very intelligent people to achieve it.

Healthy catered lunches and snacks are always such a great plus.

    Cons

Not structured like any company I've ever worked for, which throw me for a loop, however I guess this has to do with it being a start up.

I worked at Indigo (MA) full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Really interesting science and wonderful people. I can not stress how great the people are enough.
The company message is really inspiring and in real life results are well communicated to employees which is very empowering.

    Cons

Moves very fast, which isn't a con for everyone, but it often translated to putting out many many fires rather than focusing on important infrastructure problems and leaving no time to focus on long term goals.

Poor work-life balance. Many people are over worked and there was a high turnover while I was there.

I really hope a lot of this will change as the company adjusts to growth.

    Advice to Management

Train middle management to manage. If you don't have time to train, make sure they have experience and are interested in actually managing. No one should hear "I don't have time to support you" from a manager. I think this would happen less if the importance of managing wasn't just lip service but was actually supported, prioritized, and incentivized.

Work with your people they are your greatest asset and you have some really great people!

Make sure company and department wide priorities are clearly and consistently communicated across levels and teams.
