Competitive (for water treatment) pay, great communication between manager and employee, good benefits, great co-workers

Poor communication between upper and lower management, too much work per number of employees (lots of unpaid overtime), local HR presence was recently eliminated

The local people are key. In house talent is abundant and work hard in keeping the place going. There are many people who have only worked at Infilco and it shows. They have talent and institutional knowledge. You know who to go to for answers. Infilco has true industry skills in water and waste water treatment. Execution and Project Management are keys to keeping the company afloat. I want so much for the company to survive and flourish!

Cons

The French Aristocracy are a hinderance. After yet another reshuffling the company is tetering on falling off the cliff this time. If upper management would do some soul searching, they would step back and stop so many changes at once. It would be different if they had a plan, but they don't. It's "let's make a change and see what happens". I wish it were not so, but it's the absolute truth. Everything that is wrong with a company is wrong with this one. The local people are the only thing that will be able to untangle the web of bad decisions. Will it survive?

Pros

Great pay, great benefits, better than average holiday schedule. Lots of opportunities to advance and learn new things. Team environment where managers respect and value input from lower-level employees. Nice building and location.

Cons

In 2015, many changes were rolled out at once, including many layoffs as support functions (accounting, HR, IT, and others) are being consolidated at the corporate level. Morale is very low, and the current disorganization makes it difficult for employees to do their jobs, thus lowering morale even further.

At one time IDI was a fantastic place to work. Family-like atmosphere with a good overall work environment.

A new management team came in from France and has totally changed the environment. The staff is scared that they might not have a job next week, which leads to high stress levels. American employees are treated like second class citizens by some (not all) of the French executives which leads to resentment.

Speed without accuracy, poor process, short sighted vision at BU level. Can minor on the major without focused approached on improving systems and process

Unless things have changed, work time is flexible and dress is business casual.

The Company is still making Cadillac products when the market is looking for a Chevy.
