I worked at Infineon Technologies full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Super nice people to work with; North America CEO is a great business leader; reasonable pay and benefits; good employee communications; employees treated reasonably good. Opportunities for advancement.

    Cons

Chaotic work processes; non value add processes and highly bureaucratic; systems don't work well; slow decision making; complex organization structure.

    Advice to Management

Hard to describe, but in spite of all the project planning, work is still chaotic and unorganized. There's so much planning that even the easiest tasks take a long time to complete.

I worked at Infineon Technologies (Less than a year)

    Pros

work life balanced. Nobody pushes you for the deadline, and you don't (sometimes can't) push others either.
Many Internal learning opportunities for full-time employees.

    Cons

The internship position is NOT like other big companies - well designed, clear learning objectives, rotating positions, or regular communication with executive teams.

Internship here depends on supervisor's personal style. If you have a bad supervisor, who lies to your future career opportunities, who hides the relevant and important information from you, you have no way to change it. No company rules can against that. However, some supervisors are very nice to the interns. You can't change supervisors during your internship, if your current supervisor says no.
The supervisor pretty much decides who that you can interact with, what internal training that you can join, what information that you can get -- including the information about your future, and the information needed in your daily work.

    Advice to Management

Create a company wide internship system, and offer a basic training on day one, such as where can gain what information/support in a company wide, and offer regular communication channel beyond direct supervisor, such as with other interns and with management teams and etc.

I have been working at Infineon Technologies full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lots of training and certifications, self-manage, good talented people, costumer centered And over all good atmosphere, good benefits, great location

    Cons

Low pay, most projects need a lot of people to get approved, constantly push to reduce cost, very limited budget including salaries

    Advice to Management

    Salary fairness

I have been working at Infineon Technologies full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good work life balance depending on your manager. Salary is average. Depending on your division you can work with some amazing people.

    Cons

Upper management not the brightest. Working for a German company has many levels of be procedures and fluffy company slogans to preach. Propaganda. Besides this nonsense it's a good company. Being in America is not truly corporate America. You are a yes man to the HQ but if you are an average achiever you will do well

    Advice to Management

Lead by example. Trust employees to do their job and enable them to do so. Set them up for success. There are many smart people looking to leave at the moment. Sad to see this going on.

I have been working at Infineon Technologies full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people in the Americas. Fun atmosphere. Acquired International Rectifier, trying to be more nimble in the US and globally. Large revenue base globally with very diversified and stable business.

    Cons

Very large infrastructure with strict process orientation. This leads to slow deliberate decision making and permanent commitments. Infineon is slow to react to new market opportunities and seems to be stuck as a market follower.

    Advice to Management

In order to be more responsive and global, Infineon needs to reduce the centralized organizations and distribute more of the decision making/allow risk taking in the regions. Currently, they are voicing an interest in doing this but the progress is limited.

I worked at Infineon Technologies full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They pay well, but they are very inefficient within their accounting department. There is not enough to do generally and you will have to find things to do.

    Cons

The accounting functions have been outsourced and there are just a small skeleton crew working to link up with the accounting department in Portugal. The time difference can be a nightmare to get things finished.

    Advice to Management

There should be more contact and accessibility with employees.
