    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Infineon Technologies (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The time off given is equivalent to others, pay is lower, no real appreciation for hard work. I would not recommend working at this site.

    Cons

Having worked for previous companies, Fabs, this is by far the worse. Management does not trust the fab workers, safety and ergonomic issues go unfixed. HR and EHS act adversarial toward the fab workers when dealing with issues. It is unethical for a company that makes this much revenue not to fix safety issues that employees are exposed to.

    Advice to Management

They do not listen to advice, it is a waste of time.

    Pros

May be you get more money if you negotiate it well. Out door activities like team outings.

    Cons

repetitive and monotonous work for the contract & external employee. Externals are hired for testing work. Externals don't get opportunity to learn because exposure and information are hidden from them. Most internal employees have no respect for the externals as human. Lot of blame game. They hire very highly experienced senior people as externals, and then give them work worth a 2 year experienced guy. That will ruin your career. The management and HR differentiates between the externals and internals in public.. I think thats the root cause of this culture.

    Advice to Management

Dont hire external people who has more then 4 years experience. Whats the point of ruining their career.. One drop of kerosene in one bucket of milk will ruin the whole bucket.

I worked at Infineon Technologies (Less than a year)

    Pros

Generally the overall company's culture is not that bad, but mainly depends on the group which you work which matters a lot. They have on / above par medical benefits, transport facilities....etc. Pretty good laid back place.

    Cons

So far in my professional career, I have never seen such a department filled with dumb and idiotic people running the analytics function.
For people starting their careers in analytics or who have been in this area of analytics, please please dont join as this place will ruin your career. The management just knows how to play politics for example isolating key people from the projects, not involving right people in their areas of expertise, racial bias when hiring, not giving due credit for the work, appreciate your work and creativity. The whole division is known as "Little India" this is for a reason, as its filled with people from a particular race. The team is led by people who doesn't have basic knowledge about analytics, and they're the ones who conduct interviews for hiring people,so if you think the interview was easy the worse is yet to come after you join this place. The management just knows on how to beat around the bush. So whatever work you do, you will never get any due credit for your work.

If you join this place you will forget what you would have learnt previously(in your schools / work places). If you would like to learn on how to conduct politics you can do your doctorate degree in playing politics here.

So one important thing is that when you join this place, it would be very difficult for you when you want to switch your jobs as you won't be keeping pace with current analytics trends, Henceforth getting your next job would be very very difficult.

    Advice to Management

Clean up your mess of analytics centre of excellence, before its too late. Stop Fooling people as they can figure out what's the reality down here.
