I have been working at Infineon Technologies full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great place to learn and to gain experience. There are always new challenges waiting to be taken on. Hardly ever a dull moment. Benefits and 401k matching are very good.

    Cons

Underpaid for the volume of work expected
There is more management than people doing work
Documentation is almost non-existent causing repeated issues and everything is tribal knowledge

    Advice to Management

Management is disconnected from employee's needs. Additional human resources and equipment are needed to do our job properly. Do not punish the hard workers because of the lazy workers

    Pros

Management is mostly hands off but watchful, funding is plentiful, and having the resources to do your job are there. Hard work may be rewarded, and flexibility is honored.

    Cons

Massive corporate overlord in Germany makes slow and clumsy decisions. IT loads bloated spyware on every piece if electronics you use. Connectivity and ease of access within the company is a nightmare.

    Advice to Management

Stop cutting International Rectifier employees. You're losing your key talent.

I worked at Infineon Technologies full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good compensation and established organization.

    Cons

Siloed organization (too many establish or entrenched "specialists"), politics, no cross-functional diversity.

    Advice to Management

    Eliminate the Euro-centric business ideal.
Focus on value added niche products and services.
Eliminate micro-management and specialists positions - promote cross-functional diversity.

I have been working at Infineon Technologies full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good work life balance depending on your manager. Salary is average. Depending on your division you can work with some amazing people.

    Cons

Upper management not the brightest. Working for a German company has many levels of be procedures and fluffy company slogans to preach. Propaganda. Besides this nonsense it's a good company. Being in America is not truly corporate America. You are a yes man to the HQ but if you are an average achiever you will do well

    Advice to Management

Lead by example. Trust employees to do their job and enable them to do so. Set them up for success. There are many smart people looking to leave at the moment. Sad to see this going on.

    Pros

Great people, very innovative company. Nice work environment. A very nice office to come to work every day of the week.

    Cons

This company was not headquartered in the United States, so communication between the head quarters over seas was some times difficult.

    Advice to Management

My advice to the management of this particular company would be to continue treat people well as you have done in the past.

I worked at Infineon Technologies full-time

    Pros

    Collaborative work environment
Company demands high standards for work product and expects all employees to hold themselves to the same level of excellence.
    Good work life balance

    Cons

Company is very process and procedure-driven. This can be difficult for a US-based employee to get used to. Change does not occur quickly.

    Advice to Management

    None
