I worked at Infinite Energy part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Senior Software Developers that are willing to help you grow
    - Agile/Scrum (works to the benefit of the developers)
    - Flexible hours
    - Increasing initiatives to work with modern frameworks (C#, Angular.js)

    Cons

    - Pay for a Software Developer I position could be higher
    - Teams are in a bit of flux as employees come and go

    Advice to Management

Reward your Software Developers well and hire the best of the best. Mediocrity does not bode well for future growth.

    Pros

    Potential for upward mobility
    Gym onsite

    Cons

Stay in your box mentality. Don't attempt to overachieve. If you do, they'll take the bigger sales from you and give them to the appropriate parties.

I worked at Infinite Energy full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

IE has many of the perks one expects from a high performance culture.
The senior leadership genuinely - GENUINELY - cares about fellow employees. This is not lip service. Underperforming employees are given opportunities and options/tools to succeed. The company is filled with positively minded, bright people who are a pleasure to work with.

    Cons

Sometimes too quick to roll out new initiatives. Hindsight is 20/20. There are difficulties in every company and IE is not immune.

    Advice to Management

Be wary of under/overutilizing the excellent staff. Continue to find ways to keep work load and team building opportunities equitable across departments and sub groups.

I worked at Infinite Energy (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Pay is decent and the other employees on your level are cool to work with.

    Cons

Everyone from CEO's, EVP's, SVP's, Directors, are all sneaky, unfair and conniving. I have never worked for a bunch of low life individuals in my life. They don't even try to connect with the staff to see what can be made better or what they like about the company, which is not much. They will have you to think it is the best company ever but don't believe it if you get an interview with them. Always watch your back around them and never trust them AT ALL!

    Advice to Management

Go get training class on managing your staff and learn how to talk to them in a respectful way. Oh, and get some nerve to stand up to your Director and let her know when implementing changes, she is not always right. You all are so afraid to speak up which makes no sense at all.

I worked at Infinite Energy full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The work environment is very welcoming and they do show a general interest in the employee. Also, the benefits are so and the pay is fairly descent (more than decent to those who see Gainesville as the only outlet for them).

    Cons

Like every other company the goal is to make 10x the return from their employee hourly rate. Under the guise of family atmosphere this is ever present. The real cons is the lack management implementing employee suggest and/or providing reason for rejecting such reason. Shady sales and product tactics. Lack of interdepartmental communications of policies and procedures which leads to delay in assignments and negative impressions. Favoritism, under the bus throwing by supervisors, limited employment advancement through training and etc.

    Advice to Management

Please be direct and clear with policies and procedure and the direction in which you would like employees to take.
