    "If it's "fast-paced," it's because there's no vision"

    I worked at Info-Tech Research Group full-time

    Pros

There are a lot of great people who work there.

    Cons

A lot of the positive reviews say it is "fast paced" and that's hard to handle. I've worked at lots of fast-paced paces. This place isn't fast-paced. It just changes a lot depending on the whim of the owner. Most of the promotions etc are due to nepotism, not merit. There are a lot of "yes men" and people who don't ask questions or push back even against the owner's ideas. There are smart people with good ideas but who basically get their spirit crushed if it doesn't fit in with whatever the "leadership" happens to be thinking that week. Senior leadership is spineless when it comes to pushing back against him. And if they don't like you or if you cross them or make them look bad you'll be gone. Even if you were right. Then the good ideas don't get brought forward out of fear of the owner's temper. It's his way or the high way. He won't even listen to people who have actual expertise if it contradicts his ideas. Most of the "innovation" that happens is just variations on the same theme. The so-called innovation team is a bunch of kids who happen to get along with the founder and they're coached to be bullies because their status on taht team means they are special. Work/life balance is terrible. You're expected to put in extra hours or stay late at a moment's notice because somebody in management all of a sudden freaked out about something (usually because they weren't paying attention or messed up themselves). It's expected that you put your family second if you work here.

    Pros

Lots of variety in your work There are some great people that keep people engaged for awhile Great products

    Cons

You won't be properly trained Everything, including your comp structure will change each year (sometimes more often) You'll be out of pocket a lot on professional expenses if you're not 'in the circle', but get to watch the circle be well taken care of Little commitment to being a professional workplace - typical startup mentality gone awry

I worked at Info-Tech Research Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Fun and fast paced environment for young staff and recent graduates. Company does a great job of protecting a work/life balance. Good place to learn sales with a big focus on training and development. Great people!

    Cons

Change happens very often around the company and in the sales processes and the communication down to the commercial rep level isn't always the best so you have to be very quick to adjust and learn.

I have been working at Info-Tech Research Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Very dynamic environment, great people. Very interesting work, pushing many limits of what can be done. Exposure to many different technologies. Still a "smaller" company that is building a solid foundation to be a large contender in the industry.

    Cons

Things do change quite quickly, so if you have a tough time adapting to this, then this probably isn't the place for you.

    Pros

Great People, Good Culture, Huge satisfaction in work, even if only the clients appreciate it

    Cons

Over the top process, bordering on micro management without real regard for individuals. For a technology research company, there are far too many that have absolutely no technical experience trying to tell and advise clients on technical issues, processes, etc that they have no clue what they are talking about
