I have been working at InfoCepts for more than 5 years

    Pros

I have been associated since long with this Organization. Playing my 2nd innings, still same great feeling & respect for everyone. The reason is director & management of company has always been friendly, cooperative and humble. It may have been some bad experience for few , which every person in some organization will have. It all depends upon what are you giving to organization, relationship, learning , hard work. And its positive outlook you carry towards your work. If you give 100%, any org values you.. if you crib, same returns back. I am thankful from my core heart to Mr. Shashank Garg. Senior Management & other managers who always been supportive during my tenure @Infocepts. Now coming towards learning, it gives you so much to learn & opportunity & challenges which brushes your skill & makes you ready for future whether you stay or you leave but you will shine. Everyone who worked at Infocepts will always cherish one thing, they learned so much that it helped them to grow in other organization or staying in Infocepts both. You may be surpised to know number of headcounts operating from Abroad -100+ , they are dedicated and wonderful people serving at their best.

    Cons

Its not about cons here, nothing negative. What I feel is invest in people, culture, values as you were doing earlier & ROI will increase YOY. My gratitude & thanks to all Infoceptians to be part of my life – those who left & even those who didn’t.

    Advice to Management

Give more opportunities to everyone & place them rightly in different opportunities. Understand them, their career viewpoint so that they stay happy, work harder for their own and companys growth. GROW TOGETHER WITH INFOCEPTS. I strongly recommend this company & thanks to Shashank,Rohit & upper management who made it to being one of the topmost companies of BI & that too in various cities now.

I have been working at InfoCepts full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Once upon a time in Nagpur, there was a good company in Nagpur named InfoCepts.

    Cons

    1. If you ask the recruiter Why InfoCepts - They will tell you why Nagpur (It is a green city, peaceful one, retirement kind of city etc. etc.) and will cleverly play with your question. 2. Project Catalyst and Fusion – My honest feedback to the company is that you’ll have to pay heavily due to this Project ConFusion. You took the services of expensive consultants, hired extremely expensive CnB guys to cut costs. Spent over 50L to save 10-15L. No wonder you’ve earned wrath of your employees who have resigned and gone. You earn in $ and crib about paying as per Nagpur standards. Does dollar have a different value for Nagpur? 3. The Salary structure is big time screwed up. You can’t think of saving taxes with such structure i. PF component – Just because the employer does not want to pay equally same amount and they save on that. Homegrown associates and even managers do not understand this as they have never worked outside. ii. Variable pay – The Company cheats you here the most. As per the policy, Band 2 employees have 15% variable. However when the recruiters are hiring new Band 2 guys, to lure them they will hire them at 10% variable and suddenly next year they will increase this to 15% in the name of policy. Therefore, this is how they manipulate policies as per their own benefit. New aspirants BEWARE. 4. Lack of policies – One thing that the company lacks big time is basic policies. They will guide you, threaten you most of the times, quarrel with you in the name of policies that they don’t even have. Try it once to believe it. 5. Appraisal – This is confusing at InfoCepts. Managers will close the appraisal without even discussing anything with you. 50% of the managers do not even know how should they do appraisals, what is bell curve, how to resolve conflicts. Hike given to off-shore and on-site peeps are extremely unfair and different. Yearly increments do not even beat the inflation. 6. BPHR – This is literally the most irritating team in the entire organization led by hopeless, blue-eyed and rude HR Leads. The thick headed and strong-headed individuals in this team run the entire show and rest of them are mere puppets. This team in co-ordination with the Kharra man of InfoCepts is solely responsible for the poor EXIT experience of employees. Not sure where they suddenly get projects for associates on bench? 7. On-site projects – Company lacks here yet again. No rotational policies are available. Onsite managers run their own rules and policies. If anyone speaks against the Namdar, they get fired. It’s like either do what I say or FO. They manipulate over-time policies and ask associates to purposely work for few hours during weekend to be able to charge overtime and earn additional bucks. Management knows it all but... 8. Nepotism – I can name as many people in the company who are there just because of nepotism of some kind or the other. If you are related to CEO, if you are from VNIT, if a politician has recommended you, if you are a girl friend or wife of someone in the HR team, or of those at managerial levels, you will easily secure a job and can stay there forever. No matter how pathetically you perform or have no prior experience you will keep drawing fat paychecks. To be safer, one can also work in the same team, which is head by their husband and can enjoy all the liberty, know exact salary figures and appraisal figures of team-members. 9. Dual employment or Own business – The company’s appointment letter says “During the period of your services with our company, you will not work directly or indirectly for any other person, firm or company either with or without remuneration. Nor will you be involved in any other trade, business or enterprise in any capacity.” Several employees are running their business in their own name or in the name of some family member. Policies at InfoCepts are so weak that they cannot even take actions against those employees or even ask for any explanation from them.

    Advice to Management

-Stop nepotism -Invest in People -Adopt good values -Don't surround yourself with Yes speaking men Lastly, even NICE has better policies. Learn from them. Have a NICE day!!

    Pros

Salary-wise, the Best place to work in Nagpur City If you like to create something visually appealing (analysis of data for end users), this company will help you achieve that for sure. Good Finance and Accounts Team, Data Visualization Team, Admin Team and the Happiness Crew They have guest houses in every location where employees are deputed and a very good deputation allowance Once a year 2-Day conference called "Retreat" in the metropolitan cities at the best hotels in the country MicroStrategy Preferred Partner Company More than half of the company strength is MSTR certified Good presence in multiple countries (no offices, but client locations). what works in their favour is no competition in this field of work (MicroStrategy) in this geography (Nagpur) Good on-site opportunities with the best in industry compensations. Simply unbeatable. Glamorous annual award function night to appreciate employees' good work BootCamp Training and FDO. They'll make you feel extra special!

    Cons

It's a long list here: Very poor Senior Management Poor Infrastructure (no space to accommodate people or vehicles) Aggressive hiring of unwanted/unskilled laterals and freshers when no good projects are available Forever clogged pipeline (The management will tell you that "its" in the pipeline) No or minimum recognition of good work 100% biased ICAN awards (pre-decided winners. Voting is fake) No free transport facility (can you imagine they charge for travelling via a bus to the new facility office to office) No non-veg food available, in fact no cafeteria available (and they say it's a MNC). The veg food available is very substandard. Very bad IT Infrastructure. Associates are provided with broken laptops (should this be even acceptable?) Will make you travel by train or even bus when they send on deputation/retreat to save money! It was by flights a few years ago! The Managers have a very biased attitude, keep their favourites and will never think about other employee's growth. They'll focus only on "Margins" Nothing apart from MicroStrategy is the USP. ETL, Java, Web and MSTR SDK Developers are treated as an outcast. Many people are still continuing here only because Nagpur is their hometown. The appraisals are just a mess. They'll give you silly reasons for holding on to your promotions. Too early promoted managers. Lack of management skills (of-course) Will promise unrealistic timelines to the client and will make the employees work for 18 hours a day and upon finishing, no recognition or appreciation. If the delivery is successful, every team member will ask for their share of success and if something goes wrong, fingers will be pointed at individuals and even affect the appraisals. Too much of college culture (2 very popular central india's engg colleges one of which is a REC) . You will be asked where did you graduate from to justify the manager's point and to prove your position. Nobody talks about innovation here. Everybody just works to meet the requirements of the client and project deliverable. The allocation team (AMG) is very poor. Will simply dictate to work on a specific project without knowing your preferences, no matter if you have the skillset or not and when you say no, there goes your appraisal for a toss! The HR Team will ensure that the exit is as painful as possible. They'll play games (literally) in the room where they sit instead of addressing the employees' concerns. The Immigration Team is the laziest of them all. They will send rude emails when you enquire about certain processes. Sometimes they won't even respond. Will handle the cases carelessly and will blame the associates for anything that goes wrong. Work life balance is one of their core values (Balance Responsibilities to be specific) which is impossible here when you work 14-18 hours a day. Moreover, your personal leaves and issues will be counted during appraisals. Ridiculous HR Policies, Travel Policies, Bonds, and anything that has the word "policy" in it.

    Advice to Management

We succeed as a team and fail as a team. Stop blaming individuals for failures and please encourage to appreciate. ICAN is a good attempt though. Stop aggressive hiring. The not so good (sub standard) people are being hired for projects demanding no less than a perfect expertise/skill set. The culture for which people loved working here is slowly dying due to the horrible expansion strategy. The shift from employee centric to business centric is clearly visible to all but not to the higher/senior management. (Attrition rate is the key evidence) The referrals are being preferred which is good, but the people who are bringing them are not good so the new hires won't be good, simple. Conduct Open House for some purpose, not to simply tell the world that we have an Open Dialogue (Core Value Name: Encourage Open Dialogue). Namesake. Lastly, please hire robots.
