    I worked at Infoblox full-time

    Pros

Employees in low cost hinterlands aren’t unhappy yet

    Cons

The place is bedlam. No credible direction and no one to provide it. Kneejerk reactions to anything and everything. Make mistakes and do it again the next day. High turnover. The opposite of excellence = infoblox.

    Advice to Management

    Not worth the effort.

I have been working at Infoblox full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Used to be a great place to work. People were generally helpful and friendly.

    Cons

After the buyout, a lot of people left and morale is near zero. Firing people and moving jobs to Tacoma, WA. Marketing lacks consistent vision and messaging.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring your management solely by nepotism. Just because you worked with them at blah-blah doesn't mean they're a good fit for the company.

    I worked at Infoblox full-time

    Pros

Imagine collaborative teamwork and professionalism. Imagine functional processes and information to manage a business. Imagine excellent thought and creativity. Imagine a coherent strategy. Keep imagining. This doesn’t happen at Infoblox.

    Cons

Infoblox has B and C players in leadership positions. Their dismal track record continues. The results and outlook were totally predictable.

    You have been warned.

    Advice to Management

Issue hazmat suits to employees to insulate them from the toxic culture.

    Pros

An amazing startup with a go to history that any silicon valley company would be jealous of

A rich and rewarding experience through April 2012.

    Cons

Moral is as about as high as being on a ship in the north Atlantic, May 31, 1911

Future prospects are just about as bright as the future on said ship... even the rodents have left.

Vista was wise to make it a leveraged buy out.

    Advice to Management

Stop looking out for how best to make the parachutes in your package work out for you and start considering the careers of the people who made this company worth something to begin with.

The loss of core knowledge in last year's RIF's was STAGGERING.

Stop pigeon hole'ing ... people want to advance in their career's

Management is completely out of touch with the trenches... both in support and engineering.

I worked at Infoblox full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Be careful to note where the reviews are coming from. Folks in Tacoma are thankful to find a high-tech job close to home.

Santa Clara employees are leaving and it's a depressing place to work.

Good work/life balance in most departments.

    Cons

Depressing to work there. "Who quit this week?" is a common refrain. Best people are finding new jobs and all of them are looking. Even the CFO is looking- he interviewed at another company but did not get the job.

    Layoffs every 6 months.

Moving from 2 buildings into one means cramped quarters. CEO signaled in an email that Santa Clara will not be the long-term location for HQ.

Owned by Private Equity, so no stock options/RSUs or ESPP reduces total compensation.

    Advice to Management

Would suggest selling the company, but you did that already. Only option left is for you to get fired and replaced by people who know what they are doing (CTO is an exception).

    Pros

    Vista taking over management control
    Above average pay

    Large customer-base to leverage
Still nice player for DNS technology

    Cons

Most processes and practices are broken, hampering or not lived up to
Inability to innovate across the board
Pockets of jerks some with fascist features
    Uncertain future

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Infoblox full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Good products.

    Decent benefits.

    The H.R. department is helpful.

    Cons

Not a place to learn transferable skills. The market is too small, the technology is too narrow and business acumen is Neanderthal.

    Uncertain future.

    Employee turnover is hypersonic.

    Advice to Management

    Institute 360-degree reviews for everyone.

The “No Jerks” value is a punchline. Take that off the wall.

    Pros

Money was decent. Culture was fine and fun.

    Cons

SP not front and center. Too much cloud talk - not enough strategy around what's the right thing to do. In fact no strategy around the company itself. Avoid at all costs.

    Advice to Management

Not sure what you can do with Vista there. The existing Prod Management strategy for SP is great.

    Pros

Used to be a great culture to come to work for; good people/vibe, flexible, and fun events. Not anymore.

    Cons

Company going through transition after being acquired. Jobs all being shifted outside of Silicon Valley and offshore. Work environment and moral way down, people are fleeing rapidly.

    Advice to Management

Please value your employees and not just yourself and what benefit only you and the executive staff
