I worked at Infor full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

None, outside of the team members I worked with.

    Cons

EVERY.THING. DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY. They treat you horribly. The pay is unfair and unequal across the board. Former colleagues working in the same exact position are being paid 40% more than others, most with far less experience. New hires are being hired in at much higher salaries. The commission structure is horrible and the company goes out of its way to make it nearly impossible to hit your monthly and quarterly goals so they can save on their bottom lines and pay out less on commissions. We are constantly being asked to do more and more duties, all that are outside of what our actual jobs are supposed to be, and we aren't compensated for it. Management is horrible. DO NOT WORK FOR INFOR!

    Advice to Management

    Fire yourselves.

    Pros

Good place to explore different technologies. Decent workplace flexibility.

    Cons

Extremely silo-ed approach in certain work locations. C & M level folks not much driven to create leaders. You can't grows with good Managers, need good Leaders.

    Advice to Management

Get the M level people to create synergies in team, rather than just focus on deliverable.

    Pros

The management in the product support department are receptive to suggestions and are willing to help. Product support analysts are allowed to work from home, but get invited to the corporate office for team building events.

    Cons

Product support analysts must take a late shift rotation for a week. During that time, they must always be available for 1A incidents.

    Advice to Management

The culture is great at Infor and management are superb. I would still be there if I could have gotten used to working from home. It sounds nice (and it is for a lot of people) but it just wasn't for me.

    Pros

Work/life balance is not even a problem, you have plenty of free time. This is like a government job which keeps you hired

    Cons

Pay is abysmal. No raise and you are stuck in the same pay forever

    Advice to Management

A better raise program and more benefits

I have been working at Infor full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You can do whatever you want, and nobody cares. I don't know if this is actually a pro as many of use would like to feel like we are making some sort of contribution during our lifetime in our careers instead of simply sliding by doing absolutely nothing.

    Cons

Same as above, nobody cares. Due to a completely broken down merit system, whatever position you were hired as will also impede you ability to make a decent salary since raises are a joke and non-existent. Most years management will completely skip the review process. Maybe Infor will eventually realize this since it's most peoples strategy to leave and then come back to be rehired and paid at a reasonable level.

Senior management seems to have no idea what is going on below them. I have worked on projects where I have heard senior management, including the CEO Charles Philips, make claims about what the application can do, when in actuality those claims are completely false. Either they are being fed misinformation or they choose to be delusional. You're also lying to your customers. This is bad.

Absolutely incompetent workers are allowed to continue working and are often praised by management when all they do is simply pretend they are hard workers. This goes back to the review process. If people who do nearly nothing except talk like they contribute are praised so much, what is the incentive to work hard?

    Advice to Management

There's a reason you're referred to as "the largest startup" since you can't quite figure out how to actually get going. Stop being delusional and learn what you current products are capable of and come up with a decent plan forward instead of living in your own pipe dream.
