I have been working at Informatica full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Amazing Leadership, very thoughtful and investing in growing technologies. There are new challenges with new things to learn everyday. The management is great and very supportive.

    Cons

The only drawback I can think of is the compensation. I believe other competitors offer handsome compensation. This is one reason employees might move out.

    Advice to Management

    Please revise the compensation

I have been working at Informatica full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Solid 2-week ramp-up, the great management team who are available to help and coach at any time, an amazing collaboration between teams and coworkers. There isn't a day you will spend at Informatica where you don't learn something new. The team and people you work with truly want you to succeed and everyone is your cheerleader. I've never been happier in a workplace to date, and I picked up my entire life to move to Austin and take on this position. I can honestly say it was one of the best choices I ever made for myself.

    Cons

It gets a little cold in the building.

    Advice to Management

Your guidance, genuine care, and open doors are appreciated more than y'all may be aware. You rock!

I worked at Informatica full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great Team and clear career path set in front of you. Management was definitely supportive during my short time there

Only reason I left was that for personal reasons, I had to move temporarily back to Canada

    Cons

Austin headquarters was not the most ideal location (far from downtown). If you're going to work in Texas than you're going to need a car.

    Advice to Management

    Keep going, you're doing great

I have been working at Informatica full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get unlimited PTO (with stipulations). You do work with some very smart people in other departments. If you want to learn a lot about sales and are just starting your career this can be a good place.

    Cons

There doesn't seem to be much direction on the team. Team morale fluctuates a lot and at times is very poor. There was a career path but after the inside sales team was let go it's become tough to move up. The BDM team falls under the marketing department which seems weird since most want to go into sales. The team needs more senior leadership in Austin.

    Advice to Management

Passive aggressive emails bring down the team. Managers need to look at their direct reports as people, not just numbers (get to know your employees). Friday meetings have turned into a town hall meeting and this needs to change. Don't sit behind closed doors all day. There needs to be more team building events and the managers need to attend them.

    Pros

Good health and dental benefits. Unlimited PTO.

    Cons

Inexperienced Business Development management team leadership promotes poor working environment and low team morale. No formal training-figure it out yourself. No incentive to excel and exceed earnings targets. High turn over.

    Advice to Management

Advice to Senior Management - clean house and bring in seasoned BDM's and Managers.

    Pros

Business Development has great people working here. We are left alone to do our work for the most part. Certain autonomy to run your business is granted as long as it falls in certain parameters.

    Cons

In Business Development, once management has set their mind about you/your work ethic, they will micromanage you despite your efforts to show improvement.

    Advice to Management

Establish guidelines and expectations from the beginning. Trust your employees to do their work and if they don't perform despite your efforts to help them, fire them.
