    Pros

Business Development has great people working here. We are left alone to do our work for the most part. Certain autonomy to run your business is granted as long as it falls in certain parameters.

    Cons

In Business Development, once management has set their mind about you/your work ethic, they will micromanage you despite your efforts to show improvement.

    Advice to Management

Establish guidelines and expectations from the beginning. Trust your employees to do their work and if they don't perform despite your efforts to help them, fire them.

    Pros

Well paying jobs, good amount of opportunity

    Cons

Company is run by social elite, typical ponzi scheme structure.

Culture is absolutely embedded in an elitist mentality, you are either in with the popular kids or you are not. Promotions, accolades and even career termination is mainly determined by who you know and how well you know them. One's body of work, work ethic and ability to tackle problems both internally and externally will certainly come into play as one goes through their career at Informatica, however it will always be trumped by your social status in the company's toxic social culture.

    Pros

Great Enterprise Technology, strong enterprise installed account base, mission critical to Global 5000 companies. Trusted vendor to major companies across multiple vertical markets globally.

    Cons

In the development phase of finding their mid market strategy. Cloud functionality is planned to address this market. Needs to figure out sales and marketing outreach & strategy for accounts outside of their installed base of enterprise companies.

    Advice to Management

Adopt an Inbound Marketing scheme with Search Engine Optimization tied to customer personas for the companies who are not looking at Informatica. Customers are deciding 60% of their sales cycle prior to an engagement with a potential vendor.

For the unsold market Informatica managers feel we are a house hold name. The greenfield contacts i speak tell me different!

Incredible potential; there's a lot to look forward to. The solution is head and shoulders above any competitor's so there's no reason not to succeed. Great culture with solid management.

    Cons

In certain aspects, there is a lack of interest in customer sastification. While we avoid high churn, there could be a better investment in resources to avoid negative feedback.

    I worked at Informatica full-time

    Pros

Working with great colleagues who are very helpful and truly want to help you succeed.

    Cons

All the training you will receive comes from your colleagues and online training videos. Doesn't quite prepare you for the role.

Not much room for growth. There are promises of moving from Sales Development to Inside Sales but even the top performers are overlooked or held back by management from even interviewing.

    Advice to Management

    1. Better training
    2. Better leadership from management
    3. Less Micro-Managing
