    Pros

Great work/life balance. Compensation is competitive and on the higher end for the industry

Executive level changes almost yearly which causes strategy change.

I have been working at Informatica full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Some really smart, conscientious co-workers (emphasis on some)
    - Good career-building experience
    - Pre-buyout, terrific internal training and investment in employees

    Cons

    - Zero career advancement opportunities
    - Total breakdown in communication at every level, every day
    - Morale-breaking organizational decisions
    - Lackluster executive team in love with the sound of their own voices
    - No equity and long dry spell with no bonuses listening to sales get offered incentive after incentive
    - Stuck on a private equity LBO hamster wheel that seems to only be speeding up over time
    - Cavalcade of VPs being hired, but no new resources to do the work they generate
    - Competing priorities that constantly shif
    - Compete lack of creativity and initiative
    - Culture seems purposely divisive, siloed, and hierarchical
    - Pays lip-service to being customer-first
    - Unlimited PTO a farce if you have to work when you take it
    - Company so lean that there's no redundancy or back-up
    - "Quality" is a foreign concept
    - Collaboration loses out to competition and complacency
    - Lack of clarity of roles and responsibilities, despite constantly talking about it

    Advice to Management

Open your eyes to high-profile lazy employees sliding by, doing the minimum, but talking a big game. It's hurting morale, chasing away hard workers, and affecting quality and credibility.

I have been working at Informatica full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Strong Install Base of ETL and MDM customers
    - Decent Product Map

    Cons

    - Clueless Sales Leadership; Almost 50% of Sales Reps have left the company and joined competition companies like Reltio, Mulesoft, Talend, Cloudera and others. Now these reps are actively attacking Informatica's Installbase and succeeding.

    - Biggest Exodus of people has been in North America and Europe Alliances .. Almost the entire team has resigned or been pushed out using crazy tactics, only to be replaced by more IBM Cloud Employees. Since Jan 2017, over 60% of the team had left Informatica in 6 months.

The HR at Informatica is completely compromised or incompetent to let such a mass exodus go uninvestigated.

    Advice to Management

They need to reign-in or replace these Ex-IBM Sales leadership.

Not that I can think of, after privatization things started heading south.

    Cons

I have been working at Informatica full-time

    Pros

Great people and benefits. Between FTO and working remotely, I am afforded a busy but comfortable work/life balance. I find myself always learning new technologies and products as the company pivots. I am enjoying my time with Informatica and would not hesitate to recommend to a friend.

    Cons

Sometimes internal communication can be slow and some recent changes left employees with many questions while news was pending.

Professional Services seems oddly siloed in many different ways (geographically, product, industry, etc). This doesn't directly effect me, but it seems like something that could be improved.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

    Pros

Solid 2-week ramp-up, the great management team who are available to help and coach at any time, an amazing collaboration between teams and coworkers. There isn't a day you will spend at Informatica where you don't learn something new. The team and people you work with truly want you to succeed and everyone is your cheerleader. I've never been happier in a workplace to date, and I picked up my entire life to move to Austin and take on this position. I can honestly say it was one of the best choices I ever made for myself.

    Cons

It gets a little cold in the building.

    Advice to Management

Your guidance, genuine care, and open doors are appreciated more than y'all may be aware. You rock!
