I have been working at Infozen full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    * Room for growth and major exposure to many different technologies and tools
    * Reimbursement for training, certifications, and parking at corporate :-)
    * Easy to get access to the heads of the company if you are passionate enough

    Cons

    * If you are not a self starter this is not the place for you
    * If you are looking to learn on the job this is also not the place for you

    Advice to Management

Transparency is key from your customer down to you employees
Also fostering more of a corporate culture that cares about the employees and not the money would go a long way. If you treat the employees with the utmost respect the money will come from the contracts that you will win and the talent that you will retain

I have been working at Infozen full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Challenging work, good people, leadership willing to listen. Good contracts. Benefits are very good. Salary and compensation are good. Work environment is good.

    Cons

Pockets of micromanagement among senior leaders. They forget what it's like to be in front of the customer sometimes. Overall though it's a supportive culture.

    Advice to Management

Let people do the jobs the jobs you've assigned them versus telling them how to do them.

I have been working at Infozen full-time

    Pros

Focus is on technology and technologists. Management structure is built around capabilities and the commitment to being an Agile organization is real. Documented excellent customer satisfaction positions company well for more success.

    Cons

So much growth in the past year has but a strain on the back office infrastructure. Some internal processes do not run optimally.

    Advice to Management

Make sure you have the right people to support the much larger organization, and to continue to enable business growth.

  6. "Project manager"

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

The work was easy for the most part and management left you alone as long as your work was complete.

    Cons

Terrible leadership and decisions were made based on politics and not logic. The senior leadership was clueless about work being done and were mainly bullies

    Advice to Management

Get more training on how to be a leader

    Pros

All federal holidays are paid days off.

    Cons

Hectic and inconsistent atmosphere. Expectations and procedures are regularly changed or bypassed. Knowing your tasks and the proper method to perform them are a constantly moving target. No dedicated sick time allowance or personal time allowance.

    Advice to Management

    Fix the cons.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Infozen full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

They did get several contracts while I was there. Spent 5 years there.

    Cons

They protest any proposal they don't get, now they have that reputation. Hard to get a decent salary increase. Management is so tight they squeak. Not very loyal to employees, the minute you aren't billable you are gone, regardless of how much money you have made them in the past.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better, they are the reason you have a job, not the other way around. A little loyalty would go along ways.

I have been working at Infozen full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

InfoZen went through a difficult time caused by a three year protest period. Afterwards, due to the extended wage freezes, there were some serious moral issues. InfoZen has completely turned that table. They increased the matching in their 401K plan, set up a raise cycle and handed out some significant raises to their key people. In addition contract management both locally in Colorado Springs and Maryland has been replaced with experienced and knowledgeable managers.

    Cons

InfoZen is going through some growing pains. They are becoming a pretty good size company, but many of their policies and corporate practices are still operating like a small company. There appears to be movement to correct the situation.

    Advice to Management

Continue to strive towards compensation improvement and policy development.
