I have been working at Infusion full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some of the brightest people I have ever worked with, work with cutting edge technologies, healthy culture.

    Cons

Prior to joining I read a few negative comments, many relating to work/life balance and lack of focus, as well as issues about corporate culture. My experience has not supported any of these negative comments. In fact, the company has taken an initiative recently to focus on culture and work/life balance, likely in response to some of these comments, which HR does pay attention to. I can understand how there may have been issues in the past and a couple of colleagues have spoken about the "darker days", but as of now, this is one of the more positive experiences of my 26 year career.

I worked at Infusion full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

culture, people, work that was produced, office space and location

    Cons

Top heavy management with poor leadership abilities. CEO needs to let his trusted teams do the jobs they were hired to do.

    Advice to Management

Recognize and nurture talent. You see a roadblock, figure out a way to navigate it TOGETHER as opposed to pointing fingers. Hire managers that do the same and turnover rate and reviews will improve.

I worked at Infusion (More than a year)

    Pros

Workload is manageable and recognition is nice. Office is beautiful and staff is very friendly towards one another. Some great people with lots of talent. Admin and HR very helpful. Love that snacks and drinks are provided and there are plenty of Lunch and Learns, informative meetings and culture activities. President very nice and approachable when in the office.

    Cons

Could be a bit noisy at times due to seating arrangement. Exec team can be friendlier. Would like to see CEO, COO, GM and even CFO interacting more with ALL the employees. It would also be great to see them participating with the office activities.

I have been working at Infusion (Less than a year)

    Pros

People are great. Infusion seems to be working hard to include everyone in their events, even those that work on a client site most of the time.

    Cons

Benefits are very substandard for software development jobs. Given that the pay is standard it makes it hard to justify working at this company financially.

    Advice to Management

Get vision insurance, offer 401k matching, or at least offer performance bonuses that are in the thousands.

I worked at Infusion full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

*People that work there- A++++ (except management)
    *Cool office
*Snacks were once good but kept going through changes
*Nice meeting rooms (Customers complain about crap audio)
    *Lost of space
*Helpful IT (if you are friends with them)
    *Work life balance

    Cons

*Upper Management doesn't know their Butt from their elbow
    *Internal teams dont communicate
*Business doesn't deal with ebb and flow of their business. They have spouts of firing and hiring when large projects come in or exit.
*CEO (when hes in the office) is more of a disturbance than anything
*CEO is smart but just super weird and awkward AF
*There is a split populate here, the people that have been there for 5+ years (who are treated a certain way) and then everyone else. The split is obvious and gets old.
    * Recently converted to Jira and their business wasn't ready for it. Every project is a pain in the butt to organize and keep that way.
*Performance evaluations are BS- nothing comes of them if/when they actually ever happen. (our of the 3 years i was there, i had 1 real review and comp had zero to do with my review)

In the end, if you are picking between this place and some where else, go some where else. There is not a lot of growth opportunity here and things get stale very quick. There is no real manager/leader system to get guidance in terms of career advances. Id give them a C which isnt terrible but isnt good. Oh and they tend to underpay (and they know it)

    Advice to Management

Dont let your CEO roam around the office and disturb people
Learn your business and dont let go of the people who help your business the most

I worked at Infusion full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

some opportunities to work on new technologies

    Cons

At the time I worked at Infusion (2014-2015) there was a schizoprenic disconnect between competing priorities for the company. Most of the company wanted to sell Infusion's services at a low price, as a value-driven solution offering for big companies looking to outsource IT. A minority of the company wanted to make it boutique consulting firm and digital agency.

The minority lost. the company's business collapsed and they laid off ~30% of the company. it might have turned around since then but I doubt it.

    Advice to Management

focus on people not sales quotas

I have been working at Infusion full-time

    Pros

Strong resources, nice offices, genuine culture of caring. Great capabilities in innovative areas of IT and creative strategies. Very nice people.

    Cons

Pay is below market and the company is bleeding top talent (and not replacing it fast enough or with the same level of talent). Company is directionally lost at the moment and seemingly headed in the wrong directions.

    Advice to Management

Talk to your people. Keep your talent, as that is the only asset you have. Stop trying to keep people when they threaten to leave. Pay well, develop the talent, and make them feel valued so they don't want to leave in the first place.

I have been working at Infusion (Less than a year)

    Pros

Amazing group of talented professionals in the Infusion Houston office. What I think separates Infusion from other IT Consulting firms are the people. Infusion doesn't hire based on just skill sets, but focus on hiring the right people that contribute to the company culture and ability for Infusion to be an innovator in Consulting solutions. From my experience, Infusion has been able to attract some of the best and passionate IT technologists in the industry.

The culture in Houston is very friendly and open and still has a bit of a start-up feel as being a rather new office.

    Other Pros:
    - Teams of smart, experienced, and dedicated expert IT consultants
    - Great work/life balance
    - Opportunity to work on innovating projects for Fortune 500 companies
    - Limited travel for Consultants
    - Friendly atmosphere in Houston
    - Values the career growth and professional development of employees
    - Management continually reviewing and making employee recommended improvements
    - Great work environment - awesome office in City Center

    Cons

Benefit plans have great coverage, but are expensive

    Advice to Management

    -Develop a matching 401K plan
    -Offer lower-cost alternative health plans
