I have been working at Ingersoll Rand full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great entry pay. Davidson campus is very nice.

    Cons

Materials and procurement teams are so segmented it is hard to get much accomplished without constantly being in meetings to get alignment. Disparity of culture from Davidson to plant locations.

    Advice to Management

Offer better merit raises to incentivize staying in a position and performing well. Focus on driving engagement from leadership. Integrate and streamline sourcing and materials processes so they're set up for success. In the compressor business, agility is where smaller competitors have a big advantage over IR. Shift from compliance to customer service culture. Invest in the plant locations as you would the headquarters; it makes a difference to the folks doing the work.
