I worked at Ingersoll Rand full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Leadership was very approachable, and took a positive interest in work life balance. Personal development, seemed to be just as important to leadership as it was to the member.

    Cons

Moving to a different position within the organization seemed difficult. It appeared that if an individual was good at their job, then that's where they were going to be regardless of their plans to move forward.

    Advice to Management

Play close attention to your internal talent pool.

    Pros

Above average salary, freedom & flexibility. Reputable brand in most people's opinion.

    Cons

Higher management poor knowledge on products and services issues. Don't care attitude and always look at number only.

    Advice to Management

Command product knowledge, understand the difficulties faced by services staff, feedback product quality issue and seek answer from factory. Be more realistic on revenue target.

    Cons

Get rid of bad managers. Just look at the engagement scores and make it happen before they fire everyone who they believe give them bad scores. They get bad scores for a reason.

I worked at Ingersoll Rand full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits and compensation was competitive for the area

    Cons

There was intense pressure to report & make the numbers no matter what. Management was intimidating and threatening, especially if you questioned the "questionable" and during annual employee surveys. The turnover is high and costantly training new staff. HR was aligned solely with management, so you had no voice or access to support.

    Advice to Management

It's a shame IR corporate allows the existing Club Car leadership to behave as it does. So many good people have left due to mistreatment, but it seems as long as the "whatever it takes" approach gets the finacial results, morale, culture and retention are not valued.
