I have been working at Ingersoll Rand full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent benefits, especially on the 401k stuff. Insurance is good and overall pay is industry standard.

    Cons

OWM running the company frequently overlook harassment and what seems to be discriminatory hiring practices. Because of its holding company status too much focus on overall cost and not enough on producing value. Things like ABC costing aren't implemented and tying goals with current practices seems to evade them.

    Advice to Management

Focus on value and on treating your employees with dignity. The high turnover you experience is directly tied to employees feeling not valued.

    Pros

Good experience to apply to your next job somewhere else.

    Cons

Senior management disconnected from rank-and-file. Lack of accountability, especially for the "progressive, inclusive and diverse". A once great company that helped build American is now a laboratory for social experiments. Employees questioning approach "disappear" (quietly fired).

    Advice to Management

Focus on products, profits, and shareholder return. Hold managers accountable for poor judgement, regardless of their race, gender, orientation, etc.

I worked at Ingersoll Rand full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Leadership was very approachable, and took a positive interest in work life balance. Personal development, seemed to be just as important to leadership as it was to the member.

    Cons

Moving to a different position within the organization seemed difficult. It appeared that if an individual was good at their job, then that's where they were going to be regardless of their plans to move forward.

    Advice to Management

Play close attention to your internal talent pool.
