I worked at Ingles Markets part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay, good work environment. Decent hours. Generally good customers as well. Knew many of the other employees as well so it was enjoyable.

    Cons

Management was terrible. Schedules were very thrown together with no regard for employees. Often was scheduled for less than 10 hours a week. Training was subpar. Asked for vacation time and during my vacation management changed and I came back to find out I no longer had a job. The new manager threw out the vacation log book and thought I had just walked out.

    Advice to Management

Promote better managers for the kiosk. And whenever a change of management occurs do not allow a complete overhaul.

I have been working at Ingles Markets part-time

    Pros

Majority of co-workers and love seeing my regulars.

    Cons

Hard to become full time and usually get screwed out of a better position by someone with less experience or lazy. If something goes wrong, managers don't seem to care at all and even make it obvious that they're trying to ignore your complaints, but refuse to ignore a customer.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to do your job. Stop hiring lazy people.

I worked at Ingles Markets full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Ingles is pretty flexible, at least the store I worked at. I worked both part-time and full-time. It's just an average place to work at. Pay is ok.

    Cons

It's not the nicest grocery store to work at. Way too concerned about Ingles cards. Store appearance is not a priority.

    Advice to Management

Make sure store managers keep the stores clean and a closer watch of store managers in general. It's the details, like cleaning out buggy corrals, that make the difference.

I worked at Ingles Markets part-time

    Pros

If you only want to work maybe 10-15 hours a week then I guess this job is for you.

    Cons

You don’t get that many hours and you have to be friends or family or management. Not suppose to ask questions or have an opinion at all.

    Advice to Management

Need to get mature adults in the management positions, playing too many childish games

I have been working at Ingles Markets part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It’s close to home, and it’s not hard labor, I’m able to still get my college work done, and I still have some free time when off work

    Cons

Trying to get 20 or more hours, dealing with rude customers, making sure you never go under or over your cashier til balance

    Advice to Management

They should have the managers train new employees instead of letting the pre-existing train

I have been working at Ingles Markets part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Worked in the Starbucks owned by Ingles. So the Starbucks was inside the store, making stock (milk and cream) easy to maintain.

    Cons

Not as many benefits at the franchise Starbucks owned by Ingles than at a corporate Starbucks. Such as the pay is less, must follow Ingles rules, and other small things.

Local company with lots of room for progression. They take care of you if you are a hard worker.

    Cons

    Low pay for experienced employees
