I have been working at Ingles Markets part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Worked in the Starbucks owned by Ingles. So the Starbucks was inside the store, making stock (milk and cream) easy to maintain.

    Cons

Not as many benefits at the franchise Starbucks owned by Ingles than at a corporate Starbucks. Such as the pay is less, must follow Ingles rules, and other small things.

I have been working at Ingles Markets part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Short commute, needs something more in-depth to help new employees learn "the ropes" , a dependable mentor would be a blessing.

    Cons

Unreliable scheduling ie work days. Must get your work hours in around the shifts/days that kids in school say they are available

    Advice to Management

25 cents per year across the board raises is not much motivation for anyone to want to stay there for any length of time. (Work @ store #91).

The store I worked at was right around the corner.

I worked at Ingles Markets part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The employees are incredibly nice and hard-working, for the most part. And the air of the place is very relaxed, so there isn't a ton of pressure most of the time. And being both a customer and employee at the same time has its perks every so often, so it's not too bad.

    Cons

The management is petty. If you aren't doing your absolute best to kiss up to everyone, you are given the short stick every time. Less hours, requests denied, and your suggestions are completely ignored or questioned. Also, since the place doesn't really do much to hold any standards, you are often dealing with broken or jury-rigged equipment, or even advised to violate health code in order to save some money. If you happen to be good at anything, don't expect anyone to allow you to learn anything else. They often discuss cross-training, but no one is ever actually given that opportunity. There is no point in putting in your two week's notice when you leave, since they cut your hours down to nothing before that time even comes.

    Advice to Management

If you don't want your employees to flock to your competitors, then you should treat them with more respect.

    Pros

It's a nice place to work and the managers are very friendly and willing to work with their employees.

    Cons

People constantly call off so other employees have to do their work as well as their own.

    Advice to Management

    Great place to work

I worked at Ingles Markets part-time

    Pros

If you only want to work maybe 10-15 hours a week then I guess this job is for you.

    Cons

You don’t get that many hours and you have to be friends or family or management. Not suppose to ask questions or have an opinion at all.

    Advice to Management

Need to get mature adults in the management positions, playing too many childish games
