I worked at Ingram Micro full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Competitive Compensation & Benefit Programs, Excellent in Core Distribution Operations, in Transition following Acquisition by Chinese Conglomerate and Strategies to build technologies businesses.

    Cons

Size and bureaucracy make dealing with mid-sized clients very challenging. Global focus is not well executed. Delivering services for clients that need well integrated multi-country coverage hits obstacles due to country managers running their own shows.

    Advice to Management

Simplify the bureaucracy. Get refocused on customers. Take advantage of the relief from US Public Company quarterly earnings focus to build long term sustainable distribution relationships throughout China as the "best" inroad for Western firms seeking access to China and the "best" inroad for Chinese firms needing an English access to succeed in the EU and American markets.

I worked at Ingram Micro full-time

    Pros

Provided various healthcare and benefit choices

    Cons

They acquired the company that I previously worked for and made many promises as to what what going to happen with our group. It turned out that none of it happened and they disbanded our unit with little notice. It would have been nice to have told what was going on so people could be prepared since they were still going on what had been promised at the beginning.
