    Pros

Very nice work environment, lots of training, free food, and fun tech merch!

    Cons

PAY! Support reps start at about 28K and a degree is not needed. this is NOT a marketing job, this is NOT a sales job, you are quoting and emailing all day while taking some calls

I worked at Ingram Micro full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great place to get your feet wet. It's a Fortune 100 and will look great on your resume. Onsite cafeteria, depending on which building you're in

    Cons

Zero job stability. Absolutely no training yet many, many processes you're expected to learn on your own. After a few months of working here my manager admitted there isn't a whole lot of training, IMM just throws you in, sink or swim - and those were her words exactly. Very poor communication; a few months went by and no one (including my manager) knew if my coworker switched teams. Yet the newest employee was expected to pick up the missing coworker's responsibilities with no explanation for what was going on. No one wants to do their job which makes the processes even more complicated. Warehouse employees were not pleasant to work with. Messy work politics and taking a lunch is frowned upon. Ageism towards younger workers too.

    Advice to Management

Thoroughly interview candidates and let them know you don't train upfront so you don't have to use the acquisition to lay them off because they weren't a good fit in the first place and were not properly trained to do their job

I have been working at Ingram Micro full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Great location for a HQ in central Orange County
    - Some bright people, who are friendly/can be outgoing
    - Fast growth in some areas

    Cons

    - Under-resourced departments create strain on employees
    - HR is not helpful for employees, their only purpose being to prevent law suits
    - Backstabbing, high pressure, and helpless coworkers (depending on area)
    - No job stability, new departures weekly, constant org changes; executives battling it out to remain relevant, employees concerned about career

Seriously consider if this high-pressure, oft low performing industry and company are something you want to be a part of. The work life balance is fair, but it's best to come into the situation being prepared to leave at a moments notice, many managers and leaders are themselves unsure if they'll be around in the next month

    Advice to Management

Pointless, since no one ever listens to us underlings

    Pros

Job security due to a vendor paying for your position, benefits are just ok. Managers work with you when you need time off.

    Cons

Cubicle farm, high school mentality among co workers, if you have worked here longer than 10-15 years it seems like the best place ever to work and if you are 22 with your first job you have no reference to anything better. No real room for growth. 3 steps up and they try to keep you in the position. They don't seem to look at past experience in reference to where they place you. NO sick time.
