    Pros

Great money and an amazing learning incubator. You are exposed to many facets of the business. The technical staff is very knowledgeable. Good place to start your professional career.

    Cons

Pressure cooker. Extremely stressful and if you are not one of management' favorite ...good luck moving up.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on people and treat everyone fairly. Work with everyone to develop and mentor don't just toss them away cause they may struggle in one area. Manage by walking around and talking to people not just by sending out a survey. Culture and values are talked about it but are not imbedded in the organization.

    I worked at Ingredion full-time

    Pros

The majority of people at the company are polite, friendly, and very experienced
    Very low turn-over rate
    Very stable environment

    Cons

Awful hiring policies, often trying to low-ball the position of the applicant
Awful upward movement (2y minimum of work before each promotion)
Benefits are pretty average, bordering low end

    Advice to Management

Offer better upward momentum for people who are looking to move up the ladder.

    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Ingredion full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Some very hard working members in each department. Good benefits and competitive salary for entry level positions. Provided a few avenues for growth

    Cons

Quite a few people in positions that they are not prepared for (from a managerial and basic skill set standpoint). No type of emphasis on employee morale besides a few generic food opportunities and outings. Top management seems extremely disconnected from pressing issues. Training and business process was all over the place

    Advice to Management

Work on listening to employees who you truly value as their ideas are often times solutions. Hard workers are no the same as good workers.

I worked at Ingredion (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Safety in labs and offices is paramount. Benefits seem about average with other companies as well. Vacation policy is acceptable

    Cons

Little room for advancement in most areas. More training needs to take place for soft skills or even computer training. Choices for medical benefits are limited and contributions are increasing.

    Advice to Management

More opportunities for advancement are needed. Planning for future goals is done but hardly ever comes to fruition. More exchanges need to take place between the headquarters and other locations

I have been working at Ingredion full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Competitive salaries. Stable, growth oriented company with some advancement possibilities for some technically degreed individuals.

    Cons

Challenging schedules are the norm. Regardless of your position, you are subject to being called upon at anytime of the day or night, weekends, holidays, or vacations. Some much more than others. Still a good place to work, but not what it once was. While salaries remain competitive, annual increases have not kept up with COL. Benefits have continuously eroded since1998.

    Advice to Management

Solicit input from locations and departments before blanketly mandating major process changes that wind up negatively impacting overall operation.
