I worked at Inland Bancorp full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great customers and fair sales goals. Lombard and Elmhurst locations are great.

    Cons

Sexual harassment, no training what so ever, the way transactions and paperwork was handled in the banking side violates client privacy. Very high turnover.

    Advice to Management

Show appreciation for employees, and stop gossip with other managers and branches. Actually take the time to train employees and keep schedules fair.

    Pros

Great co-workers, affiliation to Inland Real Estate

    Cons

Senior Management, CEO, pay, no growth opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Start paying attention to your staff's needs. Figure out what motivates them on go with it instead of artificial "team-building" events that you force them into going.

I worked at Inland Bancorp full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent staff with great experience - they staff appropriately and make people feel valued. The business model of the bank is a good one and the opportunities to grow within organization are for the mist part, excellent. They also naked an effort to build positive staff morale and keep people involved and informed.

    Cons

Growing too fast and president picked favorites and gave them too much power

    Advice to Management

Let management do their jobs - some really good people with a good business model but president tended to ignore their advice

I have been working at Inland Bancorp full-time

    Pros

good coworkers to work with. decent location in the Chicago suburbs and easy to get to.

    Cons

management is not the greatest and does not seem to always know what is going on. several employees have left as a result in the near future. benefits are nothing special and do not compare as favorably as other banks.

I worked at Inland Bancorp part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The people were probably the only thing that they had going for them.

    Cons

Backwards management. They were all set o n sales and only hiring people who were like used cars salesmen. Upper management doesnt have a clue and they have unrealistic unattainable goals for everyone. They all need more education, especially in employee relations.

    Advice to Management

Quit relying on sales so much. Your bank is not Chase Bank and you should not strive to be. Also don't pretend to be a community bank when you clearly are not. Focus more on customer service rather than selling a customer things they don't need. Ask the people who actually service the customers what is the best products for them. Stop trying to force so many issues.

    Pros

Co-Workers are great but that is the extent of the benefits

    Cons

Poor management style, need more education

    Advice to Management

Ask the lower people what you believe is the best product for customers instead of guessing.
