    Pros

This company is great for someone who has a lot of initiative. Once of the core beliefs is to promote from within, giving the employees of this company a change to become more within the company through dedicated service.

    Cons

It is a smaller company, so you will need to do wear many hats when you make it into upper management.

    Advice to Management

When you come into this role make sure you do everything you can to learn about the business and what it is be do at Innovation Group. If you don't, you will be lost. It is a specialized industry and when we don't hire from within, it is important to immerse yourself to learn as much as you can. Ask questions and don't be shy.

It is better for you to ask question on the onset to understand the industry and the companies corporate goals. This will help you be a better manager.

I worked at Innovation Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Working from home without being micromanaged by a manager actually breathing on you. You only get about 100 emails & instant messages per day asking what you are doing or asking for something to be rushed.

    Cons

No raises EVER, They may ask you to take a 10% salary cut to keep your
job when times get tough. This place goes through management faster
than its temp employees. The corruption that goes on is absurd,
management gets paid over 100k per year to sit around and run the
company into the ground while the "workers" get paid a measly 40k-ish.
Every year your benefits will get worse and the cost will skyrocket.
They will continuously take things away that were part of your
contract (such as paying for your phone and internet bill). The human
resources department is an absolute joke. No one cares about anyone.
If your complain, you are now a target and you will be given the worst
work imaginable until you quit, or get fired for not being able to
complete your work in an 8 hour day. Don't ever expect a performance
review, you will not get one. The only thing that you will ever be
told is "rush, rush, rush, and quality and quantity need to be
better". This company has caused several suicide attempts by its
employees. If you are offered a job, take my advice and stay away.

    Advice to Management

Management has absolutely no clue as to what they are doing!
Management is picked by favorites, not by education or leadership
skills. The current managers and team leaders are all complete morons.
They have no clue as to how to run a company or how to treat people
with respect. They treat people like slaves. "do it now, get it done..
    or else".

I worked at Innovation Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There is absolutely no professionalism in the work place so you literally say WHATEVER you want and not get in trouble!

    Cons

The company pays badly and has a hard time keeping people. I had no write-ups or attendance problems and was a top performer but was fired a few weeks after telling them I was pregnant. I currently am on unemployment and am in the process of a law-suit. I also have a Bachelors degree and was paid the same as someone with a highschool diploma.

    Advice to Management

Start caring about your employees instead of firing them for no reason and completely screwing them over financially due to the measly pay that no one can afford a basic living on.

    Pros

Have been some bumps as new management has come on board. They had a lot of negativity and poor decisions to make up for. But they've done a great job and now the place is a lot of fun.

    Cons

More HR presence to answer questions would be nice as well as some form of bonus program.

    Advice to Management

Great job being there for us.

    Pros

Appraisers work from home. Company pays for your home internet & phone. Pretty laid back work enviroment. Management always there when needed.

    Cons

Pay is a lil less than avg for appraisers. But because you work from home it kinda evens out since you dont have to commute. The cost of the commute makes up for the difference. If company does not perform well whole company suffers & no raises are given unless company performs well. So you are not really rewarded for good work since you are not compensated for it. Also they are a little overstaffed in the upper management area.

    Advice to Management

Have mandatory yearly salary increases for performers regardless of comapnys overall performance.

I worked at Innovation Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The office lunch room was nice, it had a free coke machine and coffee selections.

    Cons

The ppl you shadow with while training were very negative. The pay is not great for what you will have to be doing. The Director says she is a personable person but because you are new she will only side with the ppl who been with the company longer. High turnover rate for employees the company is only focused on commission from claims thats all was discussed from training to when actually working a claim. The office didnt belong to them they were leasing the office space from one of their clients, so the desk where falling apart the chairs where in terrible conditions.

    Advice to Management

New training procedures, have a trainer who is more engaging with the class. Show your employees this can be a great place for them to have careers. Pay your employees more! For the money you make off these insurance companies you all can pay more.

I worked at Innovation Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There will always be work and for the most part the people are good to work with.

    Cons

Constantly changing managers and employees. Processes and procedures change daily to make it a tough place to work. They do not pay well at all and the company can't get out of it's own way. Also, there are endless promises that are never fulfilled. Never enough employees for the work.

    Advice to Management

When you promise your employees something time after time, it would be nice if you followed through once in a while. Also, having stability in the workplace makes employees feel at ease and better perform their never ending and overloaded workload.
