    I worked at Innovative Technical Solutions full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    ITSI hires talented people.
    The knowledge of working iand constructing various types of structures is incredible.

    Cons

    After the buyout there was a high rate executive management turnover.
    Company downsizing.
    Big Brother oversight
    Lack of employee recongnition.

    Listen to your employees

    Pros

    The work that was done for this company was great work.

    Cons

    You are just a body to fill a spot. When the job is done the upper management will be down the road to the next job and you will be given your layoff check.

    Advice to Management

    Try looking outside the good old boy network of drinking buddies to some very talented people that you are over looking.

    Now part of a big company ... less nimble and more bureaucratic

    Flexible work arrangements when necessary

    Cons

    Holidays are very limited (6 per year) which makes it hard when trying to balance family holidays.

    Take time to focus on employees and their impact on the company.

    Steady work, many government contracts, ok pay.

    Cons

    Management styles between offices branches vary widely from approachable people to guys who are screaming across the office. Work/life balance not so great.
