I have been working at Inogen full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great company that is growing that provides an opportunity for those that want to work hard and be successful. The core values are apparent and you can communicate freely. It is a good feeling to work for a company that sells a product that changes lives.

    Cons

The company is growing fast so there can be a lot of change.

    Advice to Management

Continue to ask employees for ideas and keep the communication open.

I worked at Inogen full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The work/life balance is unbelievable, particularly in the sales industry. I’ve had a lot of sales experience in my past, & my personal life never mattered until Inogen. That is truly the best part of the company. My manager was wonderful as well. They truly cared about the team & did their best to help make the team successful. My supervisor left a lot to be desired though.

    Cons

There are a ton of cons to this place unfortunately. The lack of professionalism is insane. The lack of communication is absolutely detrimental to the business. You can ask the same question to 8 people & get at least 5 completely different responses. There is no centralized way to get the correct answer on your own. You rely on asking questions to others & hope for the correct answer. The pay is atrocious based...

    Advice to Management

Listen to the sales rep & customer service people. Pay attention to the feedback from your frontline employees. Don’t brush their feedback under the rug.

I worked at Inogen full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Work life balance is well represented.

      Cons

They brought in all these people in hopes of making 70k (minimum). Yet now they are changing job ads to say 40k because: that’s more realistic. We are constantly being given new leads, but the leads are all currently being worked or patients who aren’t on oxygen. Even the BEST sales reps are struggling right now due to a high and unattainable sales goal this month. The issues are trickling down from the top. We have...

I have been working at Inogen full-time

      Pros

Wonderful fun people to work with- free coffee

      Cons

Upper management does not have a clue how to hold it together. Most decisions are made in terms of shareholders. Many people at the office are convinced that their recent hiring frenzy was to implemented to convince shareholders to invest in a fast growing company. But it all crashed to the ground and everyone is looking for jobs. Meanwhile upper management cashed in on huge gains in stock while most of us go without...

      Advice to Management

Old worn out leads should be dispersed to those just becoming familiar with the business of POC's and INOGEN's innovative life changing product. Once a rep has proven themselves in the 2nd and 3rd tier, they should have equal access to web leads. You should have always compartmentalized Medicare so that reps become proficient and accurate as well as focused. Medicare is viewed as a more stable predictable business You...

I have been working at Inogen full-time for more than a year

      Pros

flexible schedule and relaxed uniform rules

      Cons

I’m not sure how to possibly articulate, how bait and switched the Cleveland office feels as a whole. To say the rug was pulled out from underneath us, or we were sold a pipe dream would be an understatement. To say the goals are unrealistic, and the training is lacking, would be an understatement. The company is in the midst of a class action lawsuit for “overstating the sellable market” and boy, does that appear to...

I have been working at Inogen full-time for more than 5 years

      Pros

Unlimited commission. No cold calling whatsoever. Very good product that sells itself. The reviews on here complaining are the sales people who can’t sell. Sorry to be brutally honest but it’s the truth. I have consistently made over 100k the last 3 years. There are always changes but as a salesperson you adapt and keep grinding. Others want things handed to them. Sorry. That’s why they call it sales. If you can’t sell...

      Advice to Management

Truthfully I don’t ready need managements help, just support when an issue arrives. I have a very good manager so I never have to worry about that.
