I have been working at Inovalon as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Work flexibility, training is good. Administrative work and training are done from home and work involves collecting data at various sites.

    Cons

Salary could be better. Short projects. Sometimes not enough work even though a minimum of 24 hours is expected.

    Advice to Management

Better salary for workers who receive no benefits.

    Cons

Work is not always consistent and no medical benefits

    Advice to Management

It would be awesome if while there are down times between assignments allow field reps to learn another side of the company thereby allowing for work and pay.

I worked at Inovalon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

If you work on the right team, and work hard you can get promoted through the ranks. director or higher

    Cons

Inovalon has a habit of over promising and under delivering to clients, due to high pressure sale goals and no checks and balances on client commitments. They promote great individual contributors to be leaders even though these people are the worst at managing & motivating people.

    I worked at Inovalon full-time

    Pros

Flexible hours, good support system, decent pay, work from home (remote) and on-site. Was good for someone straight out of coding school with little to no experience (which was me to a T). Great training (paid). Changing work environment all the time (as is the norm in the coding world) made it challenging and even fun at times.

    Cons

Non-inclusive environment, although management was trying to remedy this (could have done a lot more, though). Never felt part of the team because I worked from home, although this was improving once I switched departments. I was let go before this happened, so never got to see the full effects of it.

Management and higher-ups made decisions with clear disregard for those it would directly affect, and with little to no knowledge of the effects those decisions would bring. Management did not know what we did out in the real world, and never really seemed to care. They made decisions based on how they looked on paper.

Let go very unceremoniously and without warning. A little heads-up would have been nice.

    Advice to Management

Treat your remote staff with the respect they so clearly deserve. We are the foundation of your success. We are the heartbeat of the company. Without us, you would be nothing.
