    Pros

salary, work from home, that's it

    Cons

Management is very sneaky and will let you know something at the last minute or not at all. They will tell you that you are part time then work you full time hours when they get slammed and expect you to drop everything and work for them. The work is VERY inconsistent . Large layoffs this summer, even with folks that worked over 8-9 years were laid off. So much for loyalty and seniority.

    Advice to Management

you need to value your employees more

    Pros

Enjoyed traveling. But each time the payroll policies changed. Rules of expense reimbursements were confusing and made not sense.
Has anyone ever heard of a business credit card and an expense account?

    Cons

Required to be available 40 hrs /week but rarely got that much work. Weeks with no work with no explanation offered. Required to carry around heavy reference books that could have been loaded into the computers as e-books. Imagine a company boasting high technology that doesn't use e-books! The compulsive convoluted rules caused frustration strangling productivity. Incentive is non existent. Suggestions are frowned on. I don't even know what any of my many managers even looked liked. How impersonal can a company run their business?
Do not be fooled by their enticements. You'd do better serving Big Macs.

    Advice to Management

Be patient with your employees. They have a wealth of experience that should be drawn on. We are not machines and should be treated as humans. Many of us have had more responsibilities than you have or can ever imagine and have unfortunately have ended up under your rude care for reasons beyond their control. You may one day very likely be in their position trying to grasp new rules and procedures in a new position or even be on the streets with a card board sign.
I also don't understand why the employees are not encouraged to but stock. Owning stock in the company you work for increases loyalty and hard work. This is another a-s backward way of thinking found in this money machine.

    I worked at Inovalon full-time

    Pros

I can't think of any. Perhaps the pay, but HR is so inept and there is so much favoritism, that you will not likely get increases unless someone "likes" you. There are a few managers / directors who are gems, and they properly shield their people. I do wonder why they stay there, but quite often people are experiencing golden handcuffs.

    Cons

Low morale, weak HR function, invisible C-suite solely focused on the bottom line, high turnover, shoddy benefits, constant layoffs, inefficient processes, incredibly archaic organization that can't mature due to micromanaging CEO, low-performing sales function, backstabbing culture that promotes people that look and behave a certain way despite actual measured performance.

Note - Anyone who is an SRC / SDC / Remote / Field worker is likely to approve of this place because they do not work in any of the corporate offices. They work from home and have entirely different experiences and their own set of challenges.

Notice the trend in comments in the Bowie/Melford locations. Do not simply dismiss the reviews as disgruntled employees, all of the cons people speak of are very real. If you must work for this place, keep your resume up to date and be ready to be overwhelmed and frustrated within a year. And yes, recruiting does ask people to leave positive reviews because of the overwhelming negativity here.

    Advice to Management

The CEO should resign. Clean house...most senior leadership is inept and know very little about running a company. This is why they have closed several offices and their stock took a nose dive very soon after it opened.

I have been working at Inovalon full-time

    Pros

Pay is decent, they try Quarterly employee "morale" boosters

    Cons

Watching 2 rounds of 30-50 employees terminated in the last year with no notice or warning has been hard to swallow.

    Advice to Management

Let your employees know what's going on. Become a glass door, so to speak. Treat people with respect at all times, own up to and admit mistakes. Address the rumors.

I have been working at Inovalon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You can work from home remotely. You can also work onsite, it's a good balance. Very good at working with you if you need time off

    Cons

Very poor communication, higher ups do not care about remote staff, opinions are not valued. Work is so sporadic, with no explanation as to when work will return and to why it has stopped

    Advice to Management

Better communication, include field staff in changes
