      Management is working hard to develop products and services that are affordable yet successful for universities and businesses.

      Pros

      Able to make a difference in many student lives.

      Cons

      Poor management, lack of clear strategies and expectations. Base decisions on feelings rather than fact. Can't trust. Little integrity.

      Advice to Management

      Stick to core product - coaching. Improve operations management that values results instead of relationship to managers.

      Terrible manager and workplace. Was given the bare minimum amount of shifts

      Great team members, good company mission

      Cons

      Extremely disorganized, no training manual available until I actually wrote it for them, management is out of touch with what the coaches do and what they need to be successful

      Advice to Management

      If you're opening a new office, staff it with the appropriate management, equipment and supplies. That was a miserable failure in the Portland OR office.

      Great people. Great job. Loved selling shoes. Was a great environment.

      It was slow some days so you had to find things outside job description to do.

      Advice to Management

      No advice. Everyone was very nice. Keep hiring dedicated employees for the work. Happy employees always help customers more.

      Pros

      Great people Company is really embracing workplace flexibility Lots of opportunities to take advantage of training and personal development The work is very meaningful when you are helping students make smart decisions about their education.

      Cons

      Pay is low. The company is making strides to create more career paths beyond management but opportunities are still limited.

      Advice to Management

      Continue to work on improving internal technology so that coaches can better manage their student rosters.

      I have been working at Inside Track full-time for more than a year

      Pros

      Great people to work with. They do an excellent job of finding candidates who have the same vales and beliefs. ITK offices are centered in large cities with offices in San Francisco, Portland, Oregon, and Nashville city. I learned a lot about an industry I did not know existed. Great job for someone out of college.

      Cons

      Very little opportunity to advance in other areas and the compensation package is very poor. Coaches are always expected to meet a certain metric. Once they reach their metric, they're asked "how can you do more"? There's always this push to exceed the standard but there is no compensation or award system for those who do. Managers are selected by chance. Not that they are actually qualified but b/c they were in the right...

      Advice to Management

      Create a better compensation package and award system or bonuses for coaches who are excelling in their role. There also needs to be a clearer path as to other opportunities in the company.
