I worked at Insider Marketing full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Employment
    -Some healthcare benefits
    -Some nice coworkers

    Cons

    -Selfish management
    -Incompetence in management and coworkers
    -Unorganized
    -Sub-par salary
    -High turnover
    -Loads of unpaid/unrewarded overtime

I've never seen such a family of delusional management (it's family "oporated"). The owners think they're doing a great job, but that's a lie. They're passive-aggressive, great at shifting blame, and even better at ignoring problems completely.
The company talks about work/life balance, but they mean YOU work so MANAGEMENT can have a life. Some of the people there work 30+ days in a row for sub-par salaries, and never even get a THANK YOU, let alone a comp day or bonus. Underlings are run ragged and then expected to be grateful for the abuse. And when people finally snap and quit, they're treated like they've betrayed the company and they're the one who is in the wrong.
For the time that I was there, AT LEAST 1 person a month quit. And when it's a less than 40 person company, that's a lot. Yes the management didn't take this as a red flag.

    Advice to Management

Hire competent people, and spread the workload around. Take notice of how miserable your employees actually are. The things you're doing to benefit this place either are only to benefit higherups, or benefit no one at all. People won't tell you what they actually think cause you haven't listened in the past and you get personally offended by constructive criticism. If you want your company to succeed, you need to change yourselves to better your company.

★ Best place to expand your work experience ONLY

    Cons

★ 50% paid health insurance (very expensive) since its a relatively small company
★ Must show up at 9:00am and if its 9:01am CEO will explode and call/discipline EVERYBODY
★ Lots of overtimes with no pay.
     ★ Some peanut bonus
★ Madhouse - stressful work-environment with pissy CEO
★ Trust me, CEO has a huge ego

    Advice to Management

    Cons

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee in Dallas, TX

    Pros

The expertise Insider brings to marketing/product launch consulting in the consumer electronics sector is a unique offering and the consultants bring a rich background of channel experience to client engagements. The small office atmosphere is family-like, comfortable, and beautiful. People are encouraged to take ownership in their roles. The owners are fiscally conservative with a great deal of integrity.

    Cons

It's a small, family-owned business with all the quirks and dysfunction that accompany that structure. The medical coverage is mediocre at best due to the small number of employees. The environment is often one of sudden deadlines with the need to work late to meet the goal. Company health is directly proportionate to client loyalty and health. The founder is involved in all projects.

    Advice to Management

    Trust.

    Pros

Half-days on Friday's during the summer and tons of birthday and holiday parties.

    Cons

Lack of communication and respect between departments. Very negative and cynical environment overall. Be prepared to work outside of the office hours (9am-6pm) and come in on the weekends. Do you research on this company to fully understand your position and the company's values.

    Advice to Management

Hire motivational leaders as supervisors, and treat everybody with respect.
