    Cons

Bonuses structured poorly. Capped incentive and low bonus ceiling for PM department halts motivation for larger growth.

    Advice to Management

Hire more selectively. Require certs from all sales positions.

    Pros

Decent pay; they do feed their workers quite a bit; promote from within.

    Cons

If you're not sales, you don't get any of the perks. The insurance plans are all high deductible, and not very helpful at all. No real onboarding process. Your training is pretty much left up to your manager and if your manager is busy, then too bad for you. High stress, but then most sales is.

    Advice to Management

Figure out your benefits and onboarding. Make an attempt to take care of your current employees.

    Pros

    Good people to work with

    Cons

Need to ensure managers well trained to help their staff, that was an issue I hope they have resolved.

    Advice to Management

Ensure management involved don't just appear to be involved.

    Pros

Great training, stay on top of the latest trends in IT.
Manufacturer partners will offer tickets to certain outings and events.
    Onsite healthcare
Coffee and breakfast available most mornings in the lobby.

    Cons

Get ready to have your best accounts taken from you and moved to the field.
Constant pipeline focus which creates a lot of stress and distraction.
Constant pressure to push products that are in focus for that particular month.
Very corp structure where your time is tracked and there's little autonomy.

    Advice to Management

Even though it affects the revenue you can charge partners, allow tenured inside reps the option to work remotely a couple times a week. This will allow greater sense of work life balance for workers with families.

    Cons

Low ball salaries for internal promotions.

    Advice to Management

Value your teammate and provide them with the necessary support to be successful.

I worked at Insight as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Somewhat flexible start and end times each day is helpful because of commute. Pay was good for my contracted roll I was hired for.

    Cons

Whoever is in charge of the climate in the building cant quite get a hold on it. Typically the office temp was chilly in the mid 60's and the heat would be blowing full blast in the bathrooms. Some people were very cliquish and gossip like crazy trying to get others in trouble was always a constant. As a contractor I was almost like a fly on the wall and most days thought I was glad this wasn't my permanent job.

    Advice to Management

Its hard for me to comment here. I was part of a small group that really didn't have a manager and didn't interact much with other employees. I think that's mainly the reason I saw and heard what I did because most of the time people didn't realize we were there. In regards to the group I sat near, the manager was the biggest part of the problem so I don't think it would do much good to pass suggestions along.

    Pros

Passionate people, onsite health center, onsite cafeteria

    Cons

Onboarding process lacks proper training. The actual work environment is straight out of the movie 'Office Space' where employees sit in 'stadiums' that are overflowing with outdated cubicles. For a high-tech company the work environment is less than desirable.

    Advice to Management

Update the work environment; develop better training/onboarding

    Pros

Great work culture. The management is open to ideas and process improvements and give credit where due. Encourage inter company movement.

    Cons

High work load. Necessitates putting in a lot of time after work hours.

    Advice to Management

Great management. They pay attention to employee satisfaction survey and actually take actions to boost morale.

    Pros

Nice people to work with and a growing industry keep this job interesting. Good location and some growth opportunities depending on your position

    Cons

Working in the RNOC is a draining experience. Most of the management team has a poor relationship with their team and provides no guidance or motivation. They're heads down all the time.

    Advice to Management

Life your heads up and start talking to your team. Acknowledge them not only in your words but in your actions. Just sending a message saying "thanks" is lazy, quit being lazy.
