    Pros

Awesome people! You work with intelligent, driven and ambitious professionals who are also your friends. It's a highly autonomous role, which is great for people who want to prove their ability and worth. Fast progression, responsibility for key client relationships at an early stage and the ability to have an impact on the overall business in more ways than just the day to day role.

    Cons

Recruitment is an industry that's not for the faint-hearted so you do sometimes have to work those extra hours, but it balances out and there's no forcing.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing and make sure you maintain the attitude of putting responsibility into the hands of your employees.

I worked at Instant Impact full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great culture and an amazing team of like minded people wanting to build something together. The talent of each individual employee always surprised me- it's a team of incredibly hungry high achievers that always go on to do great things.

An amazing office overlooking The Shard. So many benefits like flexible working, competitive commission structures and social perks.

    Cons

High stress environment. Apathetic & stubborn leadership.

    Advice to Management

Invest in quality, you'll get quality back. Don't cut cost corners on tech & your employees.

I worked at Instant Impact full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great team, good progression opportunities, avoids the somewhat nasty recruitment stereotypes (long hours, high turnover, etc)

    Cons

It's a small team and is less sociable than bigger agencies

    Advice to Management

Keep embracing change and look to specialise in the near future

I have been working at Instant Impact full-time

    Pros

Instant Impact is a great place to work with an awesome culture. We all really care about the mission of the company - getting smart grads into fast growth start-ups & scale-ups. Brilliant socials and everyone in the company really gets on.

    Cons

Recruitment is an industry of massive ups and downs so you can sometimes be at the mercy of candidates or clients to hit targets.

    Pros

There is a great working culture and what you achieve makes a real difference to the companies progress. It's full of young intelligent individuals that are very supportive to each other as well as the companies goals. The two co-founders have great vision and are great to work alongside. You are really encouraged to come up with new ideas and strategies which gives a lot of freedom to do things how you see fit. Also, there are beers every Friday in the office.

    Cons

Salary could be higher but its what you would expect for an evolving company.

    Pros

Awesome team, great collaborative culture, good ethics and care for candidates and clients.

    Cons

The recruitment industry itself doesn't have an awful lot of respect - so can often be a bit thankless. However, the company is great and has a very strong mission driving it forward - which makes up for the negatives!

I worked at Instant Impact full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

II had an incredibly collaborative environment, one in which people shared ideas, helped each other work towards targets and supported each other in all senses of the word. All in all it was extremely different to the stereotypical image people have of recruitment agencies. Clients were interesting and varied, predominantly start-up's and SMEs from a whole variety of sectors and management trained and coached you to work successfully and build relationships with all of them. Other pro's were monthly socials, Friday drinks and a beautiful office!

    Cons

Because you are working a lot with entry level graduate roles for small companies, commission can sometimes be lower than perhaps other recruitment agencies have. Also, it occasionally felt that managers and the directors didn't push for positive change due to the fear of upsetting or disrupting the current system and/or members of staff that had been there for longer amounts of time, who perhaps weren't ready for those new developments.

    Advice to Management

You guys are brilliant and incredibly supportive but don't be afraid to push for the changes that you know will help the business grow and develop!

I have been working at Instant Impact full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Instant Impact has an incredible company culture - Collaborative, fast-paced & fun. There is a genuine meritocracy here, so progression can come really quickly. The founders are always open to listen to the ideas & feedback of all team members. Instant Impact has exciting & ambitious growth plans for the few years, so it's amazing to be a part of that!

    Cons

As with any small company, there is a lot to do and it's a lean team. This means that you'll need to be ready to hit the ground running and take on responsibility very quickly!

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing! As the company grows, be sure to retain the culture that makes Instant Impact such a special place to work.

I worked at Instant Impact full-time

    Pros

A really great place to work. II has a strong focus on personal development and support. Salaries are good with rewarding commission structures.

The culture is also great, with everyone supporting and giving feedback to each other, and being very friendly alongside this.

    Cons

Occasionally a high stress environment. At the same time, employee well being is taken into account with things such as a break out room to relax and work quietly.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up, you guys are cracking and have an amazing company. Slightly envious of remaining employees as the company is still going to grow hugely in the coming years.
