I have been working at Instart Logic full-time

    Pros

Walked in on a tail end of a acquisition. Only to find that Instart Logic gains a world class team, patented technology, and industry-first mobile delivery network software development kit with significant new analytics capabilities.

Partnered with a Series D 45 million round of funding last month and tripled sales growth last year, we're off to a great start for 2016!

    Cons

Let's wait and see what else is in stored!

    Pros

Many pros. I started in the sales organization late 2014. Looking back at my time with Instart I am grateful they contacted me. A hard working environment filled with extremely intelligent and motivated experts in the space. From product to support, everyone understands the importance of closing every opportunity that comes our way...never hesitating to join a call or fly out to a meeting. Additional attribute: the company is still at a stage where new selling tactics/language are constantly introduced and challenged; a perfect breeding ground for an innovative salesman looking to understand and strategize different avenues to get a deal to close.

    Cons

Recently a lol of leadership change, most recently in the VP of Sales slot. Not saying they're bad hires, but the constant change in process and management style gets old fast.

    Advice to Management

Seek more feedback from individual contributors, especially those that have been there a long time. Hire leaders that will take a the time needed to see what"s working and what's not before gutting processes. In the sales org in particular, there is so much new management trying to prove themselves it is choking the sales team and preventing them from doing their jobs.

I have been working at Instart Logic full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Interesting technology play (combo app acceleration, CDN, security play)
    - People who want to do the right thing
    - Extraordinarily fast moving
    - Great work atmosphere

    Cons

    - Sometimes move a bit too fast
    - Will face the inevitable scaling challenges all startups face
    - Needs more marquee names in customer base

    Advice to Management

Technology story is compelling now that we have the right narrative, just need to be more aggressive going after marquee customers.

    Pros

This company was awesome in the beginning. No PTO restrictions, tons of autonomy to do your job and great opportunities. A few months ago, they changed directions

    Cons

Makes knee jerk decisions - not a whole lot of thought or collaboration
    Very little accountability among Management
Started to focus more on NB Sales and Engineering rather than Customer Support and Operations and Deliverability Management

    Pros

    Flexible working hours
As a tech start up, you expect this from most of their recruiting page, but at Instart, you do actually have control of your working hours.

    Friendly and knowledgeable stuff
Instart has a lot of wise people who are willing to help you to solve all kinds of problems, technical or non technical.

    Cons

There is no cons at all.

I have been working at Instart Logic full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    (cliché, but true)
    Great people
    Management has your back
    Above-market compensation
Fully-stocked kitchen and snacks/bevarages (not quite LinkedIn level, but hey - we're a startup)
    Incredibly innovative product
As close to a true meritocracy as you can get
Great networking opportunities (our backers, especially A16z really opens a lot of doors)

    Cons

Feels a bit Silo'd. There's a lot of diversity in terms of culture, nationality, and age within the entire company, and it's a bit challenging at times to bring everyone together in a social/non-work setting.

    Advice to Management

Try to get your team to mingle with another time once in a while. Intra-team socializing is good, but inter-team socializing can improve

    Pros

Awesome technology, good culture, no politics, flexibility of time and scope of innovative work

    Cons

Software Engineering needs to be better, release process needs to smoother and more automation required, but this evolution is part of any startup

    Advice to Management

More automated testing and automation in release process required

I have been working at Instart Logic (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Very knowledgeable and highly qualified coworkers, who will give you good mentoring.
    - A nice, laid back work atmosphere.

    Cons

Nothing really about the company, but the bay area is extremely expensive to live in. Then again, the generous salary helps with that. Just be prepared to bring enough funds for the initial 2-4 weeks.

    Advice to Management

Nothing I could be saying right now, so here's some filler words: lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consetetur, adipisci velit.

No serious complaints so far! I guess the catered lunches could be a little better but the snacks are good.

    Advice to Management

Maintain commitment to hiring the best and continuing to develop the product (make sure we're the fastest).
